Boys & Girls Clubs of Parkersburg launches ‘All It Takes’ campaign
PARKERSBURG — When it comes to helping youth succeed, the little things can add up to make a lifelong impact whether it be a hot meal, homework help, programming or even a listening adult.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Parkersburg is inviting the community to help provide those things during the “All It Takes” holiday giving campaign which is hoped to bring in $10,000.
This year, the organization has seen substantial growth, averaging over 200 members daily across three sites. But leadership hopes to continue to serve more kids, more often and expand the footprint. With the help of the community, those aspirations can become possible.

“One gift, one program, one visit, one community … all it takes is one, YOU. Be the ONE thing that sparks a light in a child or teen and empower them in building their GREAT FUTURE,” said Lynn Reins, CEO of the Parkersburg Club.
The campaign, which is set to launch right in time for Giving Tuesday, will allow donors to select dollar amounts that can go toward different club expenses like meals, memberships, transportation, programming, a teen retreat, and more.
Because a year’s worth of services and programming is nearly $2,000 per child and with a membership fee of $20 for families, which includes summer camp, leadership aims to keep costs as low as possible for members. And giving campaigns like “All It Takes” can help make that happen.
“Any gift made to the Club is a direct investment in the futures of the young people of Wood County. Our community has always invested in the mission and vision of the Boys & Girls Clubs and we are so grateful for the ongoing support,” said Justin Clark, COO of the Parkersburg club.
