PARKERSBURG — WesBanco is featuring one of its talented employees during November. Brenda Aubrey, artist and graphic designer, is AVP and Marketing Officer from the Jackson, Ohio WesBanco Market.

The Brenda Aubrey art exhibit will be on display at WesBanco Bank, 415 Market St., Parkersburg, during regular business hours of Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Aubrey attended Jackson High School, University of Rio Grande, and Ohio University majoring in Art and Photography. She is also a freelance graphic designer for several local businesses like Sixth Sense Brewing Company in which she designs craft beer labels.

In 2008, Aubrey started painting a Santa Claus every year with acrylic on an 11×7 canvas, she would frame it and gift it to the person who made the largest impact on her life for that year. Then she would scan it in and design wine bottle labels and Christmas ornaments with that year’s Santa, wrap them up for Christmas gifts to the rest of her friends and family.

“It has become quite a tradition with everyone looking forward to what type of Santa I will paint every year,” she said.

Aubrey, also, occasionally enjoys painting some of her favorite subjects like her family, her Saint Bernard’s, Key West, and of course, The Ohio State Buckeyes. The majority of the WesBanco Exhibit features prints of the many Santa Claus paintings she has designed over the years.

“I hope everyone enjoys the prints on display of my paintings,” she said.

Aubrey works in acrylics, watercolor, and oil.

Brenda and John Aubrey have a blended family with son D.J., and daughters Kelli and Kimmi.
