Rediscover Your Library Campaign now underway

PARKERSBURG — After a period of change and limited access due to COVID-19, the Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library wants residents to get reacquainted with its services through the Rediscover Your Library Campaign.

“We have missed our patrons since the beginning of the pandemic and want to invite them back to see all the new changes both physically and with the services we offer,” said Brian Raitz, library director.

The Parkersburg & Wood County Public Library has locations on Emerson Avenue, south Parkersburg and Williamstown, plus the Bookmobile.

In the buildings, with a free library card, residents can access books, for all ages and in a variety of formats, including graphic novels and manga; video games, board games and puzzles; mobile printing; talking book services for the blind and disabled; DVDs, the genealogy and local history collection; printing, copying, scanning and fax services; free wifi access; notary service; and computers and Internet access, along with the staff to assist. Patrons can also download ebooks, audiobooks, magazines and more.

People can join the Summer Library Club from June 6 to July 30 to earn prizes for visiting the library and checking out books.
