The S. William and Martha R. Goff Permanent Educational Fund is available for medical school students.
To be eligible for the Goff scholarship, an applicant must meet all the following requirements: must have attended high school in Wood County (at least two years); and must be entering or currently in medical school. Selection is based on merit and need.
Recipients are selected by an independent scholarship advisory committee. The scholarship can be applied toward tuition, books or other education-related costs.
To apply, go to www.pacfwv.com/scholarships to access the foundation’s Consolidated Scholarship Application.
For additional information, contact Rachel Brezler, the foundation’s regional scholarships officer, at 304-428-4438. Application deadline is March 1.
Grants are available for Christian youth from the Proclaimers Gospel Quartet Fund for Christian Youth.
The fund provides support for Christian youth and Christian youth groups in need of financial assistance to attend or participate in Christian service-related events. Grants may be made, for example, for attendance at Christian camps or for participation in educational events or church or community service activities.
Persons or groups assisted through this fund generally shall only be eligible every fifth year following receipt of support.
The application period is open through June 1. Applications must be submitted through a church or a sponsoring nonprofit organization.
The online application is available at www.pacfwv.com/grants/apply. For more information, contact the foundation at 304-428-4438 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
