VIENNA — The 33rd annual ViBaChu Crafters Craft Bazaar will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Vienna Baptist Church, 3401 Grand Central Ave., Vienna.

Enter through the white double doors on Grand Central Avenue. Masks and social distancing are suggested.

Members of the ViBaChu Crafters meet twice a week all year long to create handcrafted items for the annual bazaar. Many members of the group continue to work on items at home to get ready for the sale.

The fall craft show was started 33 years ago by a few ladies in the church who started crafting together. The first was held in a small hall in the basement of the church.

The event has grown over the years and the bazaar now fills the entire room that used to be the old sanctuary of the church.

Proceeds from the sale are used for projects at the church. Some of the items purchased over the years from the proceeds include a new piano for the sanctuary, a new stove and dishwasher for the kitchen, flags for the Cub Scout Pack, church windows and a phone system, among others.

Crafters also save quarters for the Weirton Christian Center and L dollars for the Church Mission Fund.

People interested in joining the craft group can go to its Facebook page or contact Lana Cunningham at the church. Woodworking, sewing, painting and quilting are welcome.
