Pancake breakfast to benefit Marietta girl

MARIETTA — A pancake benefit for a 12-year-old Marietta girl facing brain and spinal surgery will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Devola Fire Co., 1286 Masonic Park Road.

Myah Gutberlet has Arnold-Chiari malformation, a condition where the brain is forced into the spinal canal, according to Nancy Gutberlet, Myah’s mother.

Proceeds from the benefit will go toward medical, transportation and other related expenses, Gutberlet said.

Ihop is donating the pancakes for the benefit, which are eat in or take out, she said. Cost is by donation, Gutberlet said.
