St. Paul Lutheran Church in Parkersburg welcomes new pastor
PARKERSBURG — A new fulltime pastor will be installed 2 p.m. June 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, 3500 Broad St., Parkersburg.
The congregation will welcome Daniel S. Golden. The Rite of Installation will be officiated by the Rev. Danny Koch, Ohio District Circuit Visitor, with special guest preacher the Rev. Clint Poppe from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Neb., along with several visiting pastors.
Golden is from Waterloo, N.Y. He graduated on May 21 with a Master of Divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary at Ft. Wayne, Ind.
He will be ordained at his home church of Calvary Lutheran in Waterloo.
Christ’s ministry is a second career for Golden after spending 21 years in retail management. He and his wife, Julie, have five children ages 10 to 27.
They will reside in Vienna with their youngest daughter, Kelly.
