Williamstown High School selects homecoming court
WILLIAMSTOWN — The 2020 Homecoming Court at Williamstown High School will be crowned on Friday during halftime at the football game against Tyler Consolidated High School.
Eight students are in the court.
Candidates for king are Garret Hill, Leewood Molessa, Brayden Modesitt and Caleb Stansberry. Queen candidates are Camryn Irvin, Ella Hesson, Cassell Stewart and Lauren Yoak.
Hill is the son of Jason and Kelli Hill and the grandson of John and Mary Hill and George and Karen Wesley. He plays varsity football, soccer and basketball and is a member of the National Honor Society.
He plans to attend West Virginia University in the fall.
Irvin is the daughter of Brent and Heather Irvin and granddaughter of Sam and Sharon Irvin and Bud and Diane Mason. Irvin, who plays varsity soccer and is a member of the varsity track team, is a senior class representative on Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society.
She plans to attend college to study orthodontics.
Molessa is the son of Todd and Heather Molessa and the grandson of Joanne and the late Andy Molessa and Woody and Karen Ireland. Molessa plays varsity football and baseball, is the senior class vice president on Student Council and is a member of the National Honor Society. His future plans include college to study kinesiology or biomedical engineering.
Hesson is the daughter of Brian and Michelle Hesson. Her grandparents are Denver and Doreen Hesson.
She is a member of the varsity cross country and track teams. Hesson’s plans are to study nursing.
Modesitt is the son of Shane and Serina Modesitt and the grandson of Allen and Teresa Cunningham and Jim Harpold. He is a member of the varsity football team. Modesitt plans to study criminal justice in college.
Stewart is the daughter of Jimmy and Shannon Stewart and the granddaughter of Dave and Patty Stewart and Jerry and Connie Thorne. Stewart is a member of the varsity tennis team, senior class president on Student Council and a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend Harding University and major in English.
Stansberry is the son of Howard and Amy Stansberry. His grandparents are Rex and Joana Layfield and Jim Stansberry. Stansberry is a member of the varsity football, wrestling and baseball teams.
He plans to attend Marshall University to study either ophthalmology or chiropractic care.
Yoak is the daughter of Matt and Terra Yoak and the grandchild of Bob and Barbara Yoak. She is a member of the National Honor Society and works at the Marietta League Shop. Her future plans include to attend college and study nursing.
