‘Always…Patsy Cline’ going online

PARKERSBURG –The Actors Guild of Parkersburg will present “Always…Patsy Cline” in a live-streamed show 8 p.m. Oct. 16 and Oct. 17.

Local singer and performer Sherry Wilson Braid performs at the famous country and western singer whose hits include “I Fall to Pieces,” “Crazy,” “Sweet Dreams” and “Walkin’ After Midnight.”

She was killed in a plane crash in 1963 at the age of 30.

Braid, a registered nurse in Wood County Schools, has performed as Patsy Cline numerous times in the region over 20 years and has taken her show “Always…Patsy Cline” to the Actors Guild and the Mid-Ohio Valley Players in Marietta.

She also has performed in productions at the Actors Guild, including “Mama Mia” and “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”

Besides Braid as Cline, Leslie McGoron will perform as Louise Segar and members of the band are Karen Cox on piano, Mark Doebrich on guitar, Ken Barton on bass and Nate Hess on drums.

The cost to see the show is $15 per device, plus a $4.95 fee for Broadway on Demand.
