Parkersburg Art Center, Actors Guild ready sale
PARKERSBURG — The Parkersburg Art Center and the Actors Guild of Parkersburg are teaming up for a sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and Saturday with the proceeds to support the two non-profit entities.
The sale will be at two locations on Friday.
The Art Center will be selling items from the old This-n-That shop at 713 Market St. The sale includes games, electronics, holsters, home decor, collectibles, display cases, helmets and other items left in the store when it closed.
The Actors Guild Annex at 724 Market St. will host Art Center items and the guild’s own assortment of goods.
“The Actors Guild will have over a hundred beautiful costumes on sale from our past productions. We also have some great items from our props vault,” David Rexroad, a member and officer of the Guild, said. “And we have a number of books that have been donated including some terrific theatre books on acting and directing.”
The Art Center will have art supplies, frames, mats, art books and other creative items from its vault and attic.
On Saturday, the Pottery Studio at the Art Center will set up a third sale in the parking lot at Eighth and Market streets.
“It is nice to be able to partner with our neighbors in putting this fundraiser sale together.” said Jessie Siefert, managing director of the Art Center. “As nonprofits we are striving to make ends meet during these unusual times. Every dollar is going to help. We have had the time to clean our closets and look forward to offering some high quality items at a good price to those who can use them.”
Plenty of free parking is available in the lots on Eighth and Market streets. Admission to the sale is free.
