Spencer City Pool open with precautions

SPENCER — The Spencer City Pool opened last weekend and is offering summer fun in the sun with all the necessary restrictions and guidelines in place.

The Spencer Facebook page has guidelines posted for all patrons. The maximum capacity is 100 and if someone exits and the pool has reached capacity after their leave, they will not be permitted back in.

Staff will update the Facebook page when the pool has reached capacity, where entry is on a first-come basis. If the pool is at capacity, customers can wait outside the gate at a 6 foot distance from other groups.

Lounge chairs will not be available and swimming lessons will not take place this year. Only two people are permitted in the restrooms at one time, which will be disinfected hourly.

Water aerobic classes will be offered 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Classes are $2 and registration is required due to the space limitations. To register, call (304) 927-6810.

The pool is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Daily admission is $3 and a 15-day pass is $15.

For more information, call (304) 927-3152.
