Belpre Farmers Castle to hold puzzle fundraising sale
BELPRE — The Belpre Farmers Castle and Education Center will hold its puzzle fundraising sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the museum annex, 509 Ridge St.
About 500 new and used puzzles with prices ranging from $1-$6 will be for sale. The sale will include puzzles made for children and adults.
“Some of them are brand new and other puzzles are used. We have been very pleased with this sale in the past, we’ve had great success with it, and all the proceeds raised from the puzzle sale go to the museum,” Charlotte Powell, museum curator and president of the Belpre Historical Society, said.
“We will have a little bit of everything, from 100 pieces to 1,000 or 2,000-piece puzzles.”
The Belpre museum and adjacent Richard Thomas Annex are filled with artifacts. The nonprofit museum is run by an all-volunteer organization and is open for tours Wednesdays and Saturdays and other times by appointment from April to October. Memberships for student, individual, family and for businesses are available by contacting 740-423-7588.
