Artsbridge bringing bluegrass to Grand Central Mall
VIENNA — A bluegrass group will perform 2 p.m. Sunday in the Winter Music Series at Grand Central Mall sponsored by Artsbridge.
The Sheppard Brothers Band will perform in front of H&M at the Grand Central Mall Center Court.
The Sheppard Brothers have performed a traditional style of bluegrass for 38 years.
From the Parkersburg area, they have played many fairs and festivals, weddings, private parties and bluegrass events mostly in the West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky areas.
It has shared the stage with many bluegrass greats such as the late Ralph Stanley and the late Melvin Goins, Rhonda Vincent, The Lonesome River Band, Junior Sisk, Lorraine Jordon, Dale Ann Bradley, country singer Ronnie McDowell, for whom it was the opening act, the late West Virginia Sen. Robert C. Byrd and has performed at the Wheeling Jamboree.
The core of the mostly family band is the three brothers, Butch, Terry and Mike.
