Artsbridge to open Winter Music Series today

VIENNA — Artsbridge will open its Winter Music Series 2-3 p.m. today at Grand Central Mall.

The concerts will continue through February.

Many of the groups that performed during the annual Summer Music Series at City Park will perform in the Winter Music Series, which also will include several high school and junior high school bands from the region.

The series will be held in the central area of the mall in front of H&M. The mall is providing chairs.

Today’s show will feature the Marietta High School Choir.

It will perform music of the holidays and is sponsored by Solvay Specialty Chemicals.

The concert schedule is:

* Sunday: Marietta High Choir “Vocal Point,” sponsored by Solvay

* Dec. 22: Tom Roddy (Christmas/folk,) sponsored by Erie Insurance

* Dec. 29: Plan B (classic rock/Christmas)

* Jan. 5: Buck McCumbers & Company (bluegrass)

* Jan. 12: Parkersburg South High School Choir, sponsored by Sir Speedy

* Jan. 19: Sheppard Brothers (bluegrass)

* Jan. 26: One-A-Chord A Cappella Quartet (gospel/doo-wop,) sponsored by Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory

* Feb. 2: Britain (’60s) sponsored by Erie Insurance

* Feb. 9: Brady Young (solo acoustic guitar)

* Feb. 16: Henrie Lane (classic rock) sponsored by Results Radio & KD’s Beauty Salon

* Feb. 23: Parkersburg South High School Jazz Ensemble.
