16-year-old to be tried as adult for murder

A 16-year-old girl is charged as an adult in an arson that killed two family members in May, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday afternoon in Wood County Circuit Court.

Madison Wine is accused of the murders of Robert and Charolette Taylor, who died in a fire on May 5 at their residence on 72 Spruce St., Davisville. The indictment accuses her of murder and felony murder through the commission of an arson.

The indictment also charges Wine with first-degree arson, attempted murder involving a younger juvenile in the house and cruelty to animals because of dogs that died in the fire.
