WHS Choral Concert

VINCENT — The Warren High School Choral Department will present its annual Spring Revue at 7 p.m. today and Friday at Warren High School’s auditorium. Admission is $7 at the door. All choirs and handbell groups will be performing, with selections from the last 30 years at WHS.

VIENNA — The city of Vienna will hold its annual Big Truck Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Recreation Building parking lot in Jackson Memorial Park.

Fundraiser

CUTLER — The fifth annual Baker’s Fest (a RIEOSO Fundraising event) is scheduled noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at Cutler Community Center. Hosted by the Federal Creek Indian Organization of Ohio, entry is free for contestants or $5 for all you can taste. Proceeds support the mission of The Research and Identification of Early Occupancy of Southern Ohio. Guests will have the opportunity to taste each entry and vote for their favorites. Contestants can enter desserts in one or all categories: Cake; Pie; and Cookies and Candies. Prizes will be given in all categories.

Plant Sale

LUBECK — The Lubeck Acres Garden Club will hold a plant sale beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Lubeck Volunteer Fire Department. Most of the approximately 400 plants are divisions of flowers from members’ gardens. The proceeds benefit club projects such as sending kids to Junior Conservation Camp at Cedar Lakes.

PARKERSBURG — The Treasure Sale flea market will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the City Park Pavilion. The event is sponsored by and will help support the Blennerhassett Chapter DAR, New Era School, Henderson Hall Volunteers, Wood County Historical and Preservation Society, Wirt County Chapter DAP and Centennial Chapter DAP.

ELLENBORO — Simonton’s 18th annual Window and Door Auction For A Cause will begin 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ellenboro manufacturing facility on U.S. 50. Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of Ritchie County.

PARKERSBURG –The second annual Spring Flower Sale to benefit the Doug McLain Memorial Scholarship Fund is scheduled 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 9 at Third and Market streets. The cost is $15 per basket. The event is being done by Family/Friends of Doug McLain and the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation. Proceeds will help fund a scholarship this spring to a graduating senior going into the area of public service.
