MARIETTA — The Marietta College Department of Music will hold its Spring Choral Concert 7:30 p.m. April 26 at the First Congregational Church, 318 Front St.

Performing will be the Concert Choir, Women’s Choir and Floodstage, an a cappella group like the popular group Pentatonix. The concert is free and open to the public.

“The audience is in for a real treat,” said Jay Dougherty, director of choral activities. “The final number, If Music Be The Food of Love, also serves as the title of the concert and it is a combined performance with all the ensembles. It’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser.”

The show is the end-of-year concert and will showcase what the students have been working on for the semester, he said.

“The students have worked hard and they’re more prepared than they’ve been for any other concert I’ve conducted since I’ve been here,” Dougherty said.
