Peoples Bank Foundation awards $5K to Community Resources Inc.
MARIETTA — Peoples Bank Foundation has awarded $5,000 to Community Resources Inc.
The donation will support the organization’s Accountable Case Management Program, which helps families on a long-term basis to achieve self-sufficiency.
“This is an important program in this region and Peoples Bank is pleased to support CRI’s efforts. The CRI Accountable Case Management program develops goals and action plans for individuals and families to eliminate dependence on government or other assistance organizations to meet basic life needs,” said Elysia Taylor, Peoples Bank vice president and Market Team leader. “The program also allows participants to progress with plans that include employment training, education assistance, work required clothing and transportation, etc.”
Community Resources serves 11 counties and more than 5,000 families in West Virginia. It helps families and strengthens communities by providing emergency assistance, weatherization, free income tax preparation, housing, home repair and family development.
Peoples Bank Foundation contributions focus on charitable giving in four major areas: community investment and economic development, youth and education, human services programs that improve the social needs of low- to moderate-income communities and individuals, and arts and culture. Organizations receiving foundation grants must meet those requirements and serve the markets where Peoples Bank has offices.
