PARKERSBURG – The Piggly Wiggly in south Parkersburg reopened Tuesday after closing last week due to a mouse infestation.
The Mid-Ohio Valley Health Department issued an inspection report Tuesday saying “all correctable violations have been corrected.
“The store is continuing to work with a (pest) control company until the issue is completely resolved,” the report said. “Extensive cleaning has been done throughout the store and deli. Only minimal signs of pests still exist.”
The report notes the department will continue to make “frequent, unannounced visits” to ensure proper cleaning continues and get updates on pest control efforts.
