PARKERSBURG — Danny Carpenter is the featured artist during February at WesBanco Market Street.

Carpenter is a local nature photographer who has become quite well-known in the community for his exquisite photos of nature.

The Danny Carpenter Nature Photography Exhibit may be viewed during February at WesBanco Bank, 415 Market St., during regular business hours of Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The exhibit features some of his favorite animals and birds that he has photographed.

“I must have gone through a thousand photos selecting some of my favorite ones for WesBanco’s exhibit this month,” he said.

Carpenter does a lot of local photos and has traveled to many states to get just the right animal or bird to feature in his exhibits. One of his favorite places to travel was out west, but he didn’t make the trip last year and hopes to make a visit later this year.

Even though this exhibit is of nature’s wildlife Carpenter’s personal variety of interest leads to exhibits of many interesting subjects.

“I photograph anything I find interest in from sports and auto racing to landscapes and wildlife,” noted Carpenter.

He was born and raised in Parkersburg growing up in the country with a close family strong in faith. He developed a love of nature through hunting, fishing and camping.

Carpenter enjoys sharing his love of photography and has become a mentor to a young man who will be exhibiting at WesBanco in June. He shares his expertise and talent with Noah as well as their joint interest in nature. Carpenter has several photographs that are on permanent exhibit in the lobby of WesBanco Market Street.

Starting at $2.99/week.
