West Virginia Auctioneers Association makes Fouss president

ROANOKE, W.Va. — A local auctioneer has been elected president of the West Virginia Auctioneers Association at its annual convention the last weekend of February at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke.

Rob Fouss of Fouss Auction and Appraisal LLC and Fouss Real Estate Auctions LLC will be the first president of the organization to serve from Wood County. He will serve as president in 2022.

Fouss has been offering auctioneering services since 1997 and was recently awarded the Top Auction Company in the area in the Parkersburg News Reader’s Choice Awards. His companies specialize in selling estates, real estate, farms, and business assets by live and online auctions.

He first served on the association board 15 years ago and was elected to rejoin the board in 2021 as vice president. As president, Fouss will closely work with legislators and the Department of Agriculture regarding the auction profession in West Virginia.

Founded in the 1960s, the association is the largest organization representing auctioneers in West Virginia. It is an information and educational source for members, promotes the profession and supports apprentice auctioneers entering the profession.
