VIENNA — Impact Realty Group has donated $3,000 to the local Shop with a Cop program and other organizations helping children.

Impact established its first office in Vienna in September 2020, choosing as its slogan “Real Estate with a Purpose” and vowing to raise $10,000 in 2021 and supporting children’s charities as its mission.

Money is set aside from each real estate transaction Impact Realty Group closes, so is supported by their clients and the company.

Agents at Impact celebrated reaching the first-year goal by announcing the beneficiaries.

Blennerhassett Lodge No. 79 Fraternal Order of Police received $3,000 for its Shop with a Cop program. Officers used the donation this weekend to escort children on their holiday shopping trips.

They were at Walmart in south Parkersburg Sunday afternoon and Walmart in Vienna in the evening.

James Zimmerman, a Parkersburg police officer, accepted the $3,000 check from Impact on behalf of the FOP.

Shop with a Cop last year fulfilled the Christmas dreams for 120 children in Wood County. This year, more than 150 children will be served.

The balance of the funds raised will be donated to Make A Wish, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Charities, No Kid Hungry, Samaritan’s Purse International Relief, Bamboo Bridge and Shriners Hospital for Children.
