PARKERSBURG — Smith Orthodontics is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week by providing free treatment to a teacher.

The recipient of the free braces is Shanee Keller of Evans, a third-grade teacher at Cottageville Elementary.

“I have two kids of my own, so I know how hard it has been on them and their teachers,” said Dr. Amy Smith of Smith Orthodontics.

Keller went to Smith Orthodontics to meet the team and accept her free braces. She started treatment on May 3, the first day of Teacher Appreciation Week.

“It’s never too late to be your best,” Keller said.

Smith Orthodontics is showing its appreciation of the many teachers who have continued to educate and inspire kids in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

“What better way to celebrate our educators during Teacher Appreciation Week than by giving a teacher the gift of a new smile,” Smith said.

Smith is the owner of Smith Orthodontics in Ripley and Parkersburg.
