Wood Magistrate

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports May 7:

* Brittany N. Simmons, 28, 404 Palmer Drive, Parkersburg, pleaded no contest to no proof of insurance; she plead and paid court costs and fines over the phone.

* Gary W. Habla, 75, 8130 Golden Oaks Lane, Roanoke Va., pleaded guilty to driving too fast for roadway conditions. He plead and paid court costs and fines by mail.

* Probable cause was found for Peggy Sue Atkinson-Boyles, 35, 2515 Lenore St., Parkersburg, on a charge of conspiracy to violate.

* Chad M. Brownfield, 37, 3306 2nd Ave., Vienna, pleaded guilty to embezzlement and was sentenced to jail for one year, suspended for two years of probation. One count of embezzlement was dismissed and he was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Angela M. Swiger, 43, 810 1/2 Pine St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was ordered to pay a $50 civil penalty to Dollar Tree. She was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Donald Gene Nay, 39, P.O. Box 890, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to one year of probation, suspended for 60 days of anger management counseling. Charges of disorderly conduct and one count of assault were dismissed and he was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* A charge of possession of methamphetamine was dismissed for Steven Lee Polsley, 39, 4449 18th Ave., Parkersburg.

* William Lynn Yeager, 60, 2513 39th St., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was ordered to pay a $139.92 civil penalty to Dunham’s. One count of shoplifting was dismissed and he was assessed $180.25 in court costs and fines.

* John Cordell Miner, 45, Vienna, pleaded guilty to violation of a protective order and domestic battery. For the violation charge, he was sentenced to jail for 10 days, served; for the battery charge, he was sentenced to jail for six days, served and was ordered to attend six months of counseling with weekly Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. He was assessed $420.25 in court costs and fines.

* Brandon Lee McCartney, 25, 1812 Cameron Ave., Parkersburg, pleaded guilty to no driver’s license, defective equipment, possession of methamphetamine and shoplifting and was sentenced to jail for 90 days, suspended for one year of probation. Charges of one count of possession of methamphetamine, a seatbelt violation were dismissed. He was ordered to pay a $171.66 civil penalty to Walmart and was assessed $390.50 in court costs and fines.

* Toni Johnson, 56, 909 13th St., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver and was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Probable cause was found for Tonda Kay Montgomery, 27, 1004 1/2 16th St. Apt. 1, Parkersburg, on a charge of concealing or removing a child from the custodian.

* Carolyn Ann Falls, 45, 922 Lynn St. Apt. 3, Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for a charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

* Karla Denise Fiallos, 51, 60 Canteburry Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of battery and trespassing in a placarded structure and was released on a $1,500 surety bond.

* Daniel J. Shmigal, 52, homeless, was arraigned on a trespassing charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* William Matthew Oldaker, 47, 803 Hugh St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling and obstructing and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* James Edward Wallbrown, 32, 413 8th St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a burglary charge and is being held on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Sean Ryan Furner, 29, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of violation of protective order and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Lindsey Dawn Davidson, 22, 1002 23rd St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Charles Wayne Davis Sr., 57, Elizabeth, was arraigned on two counts of violation of a protective order and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

PARKERSBURG — The Wood County Magistrate Court released the following reports May 10:

* Ray Rickman Geelen, 42, 1103 18th St. Apt. E3, Vienna, pleaded guilty to using a cellphone without a hands free device while driving and was assessed $100.00 in court costs and fines.

* Vance Edward Cross Jr., 40, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $3,000 surety bond.

* Michael D. Travis, 22, 2005 4th Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was released on a $1,000 surety bond.

* Alexander R. Rector, 18, #2 Worthington Ave. Apt. 6, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of the illegal possession of wildlife and two counts of hunting without a license and was released on a $2,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Michelle Louse Brother, 42, 1401 1/2 23rd St., Parkersburg was arraigned on two counts of possession of a controlled substance, heroin and methamphetamine) and shoplifting and was released on a $1,500 personal recognizance bond.

* Stephanie Patricia Maggi, 35, Parkersburg, was arraigned on two counts of domestic battery and bond was set at $1,000 surety.

* A preliminary hearing was waived for John Edward Channels III, 35, 58 Blackberry Way, Elizabeth, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

* Michael Joseph Doyle, 29, 2650 12th Ave., Parkersburg, had a preliminary hearing waived for charges of fleeing from an officer and the attempt to commit the malicious assault of a police officer and he was bound over to Circuit Court.

* Josue Javier Vega, 18, 1 Campus View Drive, Vienna, pleaded guilty to the assault of a government employee and was sentenced to jail for 24 hours with credit for 10 hours served. He was assessed $170.25 in court costs and fines.

* Daniel Ray Hickman, 36, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Jeffery Sky Wood, 30, 1045 Laird Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a trespassing charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

* Donald Edward Williams, 41, 49 Brown Ave. Apt. D, Parkersburg, was arraigned on charges of disorderly conduct and false reporting and bond was set at $2,000 surety.

* Brandon Michael Smith, 34, 13 Joyce Drive, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving with a revoked license and bond was set at $5,000 surety.

* Donald Alex Elkins, 46, 916 Swann St. Apt. B, Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of driving with a revoked license and was released on a $5,000 surety bond.

* Terri Alexsys Greathouse-Tate, 25, Vienna, was arraigned on a domestic battery charge and was released on a $500 surety bond.

* Jay Michael Stephens, 38, 862 Tuckers Creek Road, Elizabeth, was arraigned on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and was released on a $500 personal recognizance bond.

* Richard Osburne Adams, 36, 1004 Pike St., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a shoplifting charge and was released on a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.

Wood Sheriff

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office released the following reports on May 10:

May 7

* Deputies responded to Robert Byrd Highway-I-77 for a vehicle accident. A Dodge Dakota had T-boned a Ford Fusion. One of the drivers stated he was traveling east on Robert Byrd Highway and ran the red light. A report was taken.

* Matthew Scott Moore, 30, was arrested on a circuit court capias. He was transported to the holding center.

* Brandon Michael Smith, 35, of Joyce Drive was arrested on a family court capias for failure to pay child support and driving revoked third-offense.

* Donald Edward Williams, 42, of Brown Avenue was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and false reporting. He was transported to the holding center.

* Michael Dale Travis, 23, of Neal Street was arrested on a warrant issued through the Vienna Police Department for a charge of shoplifting. He was placed at the holding center.

* Heather Dawn Carter, 38, Milstone, W.Va., was issued a citation for driving on suspended/revoked.

May 8

* Timothy E. McGary, 42, 27th Street, was issued a citation for driving on suspended/revoked.

* Deputies responded to Rosemar Road for a single-vehicle accident. A vehicle had collided with the Window World building causing disabling damage to the vehicle. A citation was issued to Jaron Wade Varner, 20, Ninth Avenue, Vienna, for DUI and underage consumption.

May 9

* A deputy spoke with a complainant who stated that a utility trailer with a Husqvarna riding lawn mower was stolen from his property on Staunton Turnpike. The complainant valued the trailer at $800 and the lawn mower also at $800.

Washington Sheriff

MARIETTA — A sergeant began an investigation Wednesday into storage buildings being entered in Belpre.

* A deputy began an investigation Friday into a burglary in the Dunham Township area.

* A deputy was advised Friday that Christin E. Douglas and a man were located together at 12320 State Route 26, Marietta. A current active protection order is in effect on Douglas. Christin Elizabeth Douglas, 26, of 140 Maple St., Marietta, was placed under arrest and charged with violating a protection order.

The following individuals were processed into the Washington County Jail:

* Susan Kaye Rummer, 39, of Marietta, was arrested for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Zachary Ryan Ferguson, 25, of Marietta, was arrested for driving under OVI suspension, a misdemeanor.

* Taylor Layne Parmiter, 30, of Fleming, was arrested for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Christin Elizabeth Douglas, 26, of Marietta, was arrested for a probation violation and violating a protection order, both misdemeanors.

* Tiana Sahara Hickman, 29, of Belpre, was arrested for a probation violation, a misdemeanor.

* Minnie Florence Griffin, 45, of McConnelsville, was arrested for making false alarms and contempt in Morgan County, both misdemeanors.

* Deane Allen Beck, Jr., 41, of Marietta, was arrested for parole violation and tampering with evidence, both felonies; two counts of possession of criminal tools, two counts of theft, and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors.

BELPRE — The Belpre Police Department released the following reports on May 10:

May 5

* Betty Joe Leigh Perry, 48, of Malta, was cited for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and for having an expired registration.

* Lorrie L. Lutz, 43, of Stockport, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 6

* Tiffani Laughery, 25, Belpre, was cited for speed 42 mph in a 25 mph zone.

* Valera V. Kondratyev, 46, Boalsburg, Pa., was cited for speed 70 mph in a 25 mph zone.

* Brian C. Barnett, 33, Coolville, was cited for driving under suspension.

* Joseph D. Hesson, 22, Parkersburg, was arrested on fail to appear warrants out of Belpre Mayor’s Court on the charges of driving under suspension, fictitious registration and expired registration.

May 7

* William C. Woods, 36, Belpre, was cited for assured clear distance ahead, driving under suspension, and having a fictitious registration.

* Bud R. McCoy, 32, Waterford, was cited for speed 70 mph in a 50 mph zone.

* Zachary T. Vancamp, 20, Parkersburg, was cited for driving in marked lanes.

May 8

* Jeffrey E. Everett, 59, Parkersburg, was arrested on the charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and or drugs, no operator license and expired registration.

* Abbie N. Carty, 21, Parkersburg, was cited for speed 84 mph in a 50 mph zone.

May 9

* Deirdre L. Marshall, 56, Parkersburg, was cited for having an expired registration.

* Christian R. Wooten, 26, Athens, was cited for a seat belt violation.
