Destroyed Tuppers Plains business seeks info

TUPPERS PLAINS — A clock restoration business destroyed this summer in a fire is asking customers to contact him for insurance purposes.

The Village Timekeeper Clock Restoration in Tuppers Plains and contents including tools were destroyed on July 16, owner Wayne Dunlap said.

“We need all customers who had a clock, or clock parts left at the Tuppers Plains business, to notify us by calling 740 350-6969 or 740 350-6956,” Dunlap said.

Customers can also mail their claim ticket received when dropping off the clock to Dunlap at P.O. Box 268, Tuppers Plains, OH 45783. Customers are asked to contact the company by Oct. 9.

About 20 clocks, their parts and movements were in the shop when it was destroyed, Dunlap said. Some of the clocks date from the 19th century, he said.

“My apologies for any loss of convenience,” Dunlap said.
