Williamstown Bank plans community-minded coffee shop at Lubeck office
LUBECK — Williamstown Bank will open a donation-based coffee shop in its new office in Lubeck.
The Giving Cup will be donation-based with all proceeds going toward selected local charities. The branch is expected to open early next year.
Customers and non-customers can make a donation to one of the selected charities and, in return, receive a coffee beverage of their choice.
The larger the donation, the more beverages will be given as a token of appreciation.
Consumers will receive a loadable card that can be used toward a select number of beverages at the new office’s coffee shop.
“We are excited to offer a new and unique way to give back to the community, while giving the people of Lubeck a full-service bank which they have been lacking for several years,” said Sharon Anderson, senior vice president of Williamstown Bank.
Williamstown Bank has partnered with One Line Coffee, a vendor headquartered in Columbus, to serve high quality coffee products including espressos and frozen beverages, among others, according to a press release.
One Line Coffee was most recently named one of USA Today’s Top 10 coffee shops in the country.
Charities will be locally based non-profit organizations that have yet to be determined, except for Lubeck Elementary School, a Partner in Education with Williamstown Bank. Lubeck Elementary is the first committed beneficiary.
“The staff is very excited about Williamstown Bank coming onboard,” Principal Jeff Hardman said. “Our partnership is very beneficial for both the school and Williamstown Bank and we look forward to years to come.”
The new office will feature a non-traditional layout and an open concept. Consumers can enjoy Wi-fi access along with a conference space for meetings.
While customers will not see a traditional teller line, universal bankers will be available to assist customers with all of banking needs. Also available will be Interactive Teller Machines and live video-teller interaction.
In addition to the coffee shop feature, the new branch will offer more digital solutions to help address customer banking preferences and create more convenient service hours, a press release stated.
“We are known for our service and building relationships with our customers,” said Williamstown Bank President E.K. Sleeth, “and we believe the features of our Lubeck office will provide an opportunity to create an even better customer experience.”
The Lubeck branch is expected to open in early 2020. Williamstown Bank has been part of the community since 1919.
