Students achieve Microsoft certification
PARKERSBURG – A group of Parkersburg South High School students have become certified in Microsoft Office.
Several Parkersburg South High School students earned their Microsoft Specialist Certification. Lisa Coleman, Chris Rusher, and Andrea Voss teach Basic Computer Applications courses at PSHS. At the end of each unit, students have the opportunity to take the Microsoft certification test. In the course of a year, students can earn two different Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
This is the first group of students to receive MOS certification in Wood County Schools. West Virginia has implemented the MOS certification in business computer classes to equip students with workplace ready skills.
The students receiving the certification are:
Jimmy Carson, Stephen Cutlip, Sean Farnsworth, Haylee Fields, David Hayhurst, Savannah Hays, Benjamin Hess, Aaron Hornbeck, Hunter Hutchinson, Gannon Jackson, Gavin Malone, Matthew Peters, Kelsey Shramm, Brayden Walcutt, Sophia Young, Audra Acors, Kaylee Affolter, Killian Davis, Sabrina Kersey, Maddie Strawderman, Tiffany Wheeler and Grace Wigal.
