David “Gene” and Genny Hopkins announce the engagement of their granddaughter, Carly Renae Lasure, to Tyler Redmond Eads.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Luther and Melody Hopkins Lasure of Charleston, and the granddaughter of Susie Whitehair of Parkersburg and the late Luther “Sonny” Whitehair and Barbara Mullenax Hopkins.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Greg and Amanda Miller Eads of Charleston, the grandson of Mercedes Eads and the late Richard Eads of Tornado and David Miller and the late Jean Miller of Sistersville.
The couple are both 2011 graduates of Capital High School in Charleston and 2015 graduates of West Virginia University.
The bride-to-be works as a dialysis technician in Tucson, Ariz. and plans to attend physician assistant school.
The prospective bridegroom is an industrial engineer with Raytheon Missile Systems, also in Tucson.
A wedding is planned for May 27 on the Lawn at Mountain Lodge atop Snowshoe Mountain. After a honeymoon trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple will reside in their new home in Marana, Ariz.
