Marshall Twins

Lindel Marshall Lantz and Lila Marshall Eagle will be honored by family and friends for their 90th birthday at Lindel’s home in Vienna.

They were born September 3, 1927, the twin daughters of the late Virginia and Perla Marshall in Parkersburg. They are 1945 graduates of Parkersburg High School, where they were members of the A Cappella Choir.

Lindel and Lila enjoyed raising their children, gardening and their love of dachshunds, Lindel preferred long-haired dachshunds while Lila preferred the smooth dachshunds. Both are lifetime members of First Lutheran Church, and always enjoyed doing things together until about four years ago when Lila began to suffer from dementia.

Lindel married the late Joe Lantz Sr. She is the mother of four sons and one daughter, Joe (Charlotte) of Mineral Wells, the late Jeff, Steve of Parkersburg, Mike of Vienna and Cindy (Larry) Westbrook of Harrisville, W.Va. She has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was employed by South Penn Natural Gas before starting her family.

Lila married the late Robert N. Eagle. She is the mother of Cathy Shepard of Parkersburg, the grandmother of Harmony (David) Izaguirre and great-grandmother to Hadley Marie. She retired from C&P Telephone in 1980 after 35 years of service. Lila resides at Eagle Pointe in Parkersburg.
