WVU to sell single-game football tickets Monday

MORGANTOWN -West Virginia University will begin selling single-game tickets and mini-packages for the 2014 football season at 9 a.m. on Monday.

The Gold-Blue mini-package, which consists of home games against Big 12 opponents Oklahoma, Baylor and Kansas State, will be available for $175 each online at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800-WVU-GAME. Tickets for the Oklahoma game are only available as part of the Golf-Blue mini-package.

Single-game tickets are available for home games against Towson, Kansas, Baylor, TCU and Kansas State. Tickets for the Towson and Kansas State games are priced at $55 each with the Kansas, Baylor and TCU games priced at $60 apiece. Fans are encouraged to utilize the ‘Pick Your Own Seat ‘ option on WVUGAME.com.

The Towson game has been designated as Family Day with four tickets and a $25 concessions voucher available for $150.

Single-game tickets also will be available in the alcohol-free Family FunZone (section 133) for each home game.

Tickets for WVU’s road games with Maryland, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Texas also will be available on Monday. For non-season ticket holder or non-Mountaineer Athletic Club members, a $25 MAC annual fund/ticket priority gift will be added for each away game purchase. Existing season ticket holders and MAC members should log in to their WVUGAME.com account or call the ticket office to purchase away game tickets.

Tickets for the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on Aug. 30 in Atlanta’s Georgia Dome against Alabama remain available with prices ranging from $80 to $140 in the WVU sections.


* WVU’s Big 12 opener against Oklahoma on Saturday, Sept. 20, has been designated as Stripe The Stadium Game. Fans sitting in even-numbered sections, Touchdown Terrace and WVU students in the upper level student sections are encouraged to wear gold, while those sitting in odd-numbered sections and WVU students in the lower level student sections are encouraged to wear blue.

* The Big 12 game vs. Kansas on Oct. 4 is a Gold Rush game with all fans encouraged to wear gold as WVU celebrates its Homecoming.
