WVU men’s swimming team bound for NCAAs

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The West Virginia men’s swimming team will send six swimmers to the NCAA Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, Texas, from March 27-29.

Two swimmers will be competing in individual events for the Mountaineers, while all five of the relay teams were also invited to the Championships.

Junior Tim Squires will be competing in the 50 free and 100 free for the squad. Squires is seeded 13th in the 50 free (19.32) and 26th in the 100 free (42.92). Squires took both events at the Big 12 Championships.

Senior Bryce Bohman will be competing in the 100 back and 200 back. Bohman is seeded ninth in the 100 back (45.89) and 19th in the 200 back (1:41.52). Bohman won the 100 back at the Big 12 Championships.

The four other swimmers that will be participating in the relays for the Mountaineers will be juniors Chris Brill and Julien Vialette, sophomore Ross Glegg and freshman Nate Carr.

The 200 free relay is seeded 12th (1:17.87), the 400 free relay is seeded 32nd (2:55.10), the 800 free relay is seeded 32nd (6:26.87), the 200 medley relay is seeded 29th (1:26.59) and the 400 medley relay is seeded 30th (3:11.11).
