Glenville State 49,
GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Rahman Lee needed just 17 carries to rush for 173 yards and three touchdowns to lead Glenville State to a 49-7 victory over UVa-Wise on Saturday.
The Pioneers (3-4, 3-3 MEC) rolled up nearly 500 yards of total offense against the Cavaliers. Quarterback Sean Steele was 10 of 15 for 132 yards and a pair of scores, and Steffen Colon was 5 of 5 for 86 more yards and a touchdown in the win.
GSC held UVa-Wise (0-7, 0-5) to just 8 yards rushing in the game. Jeremy Eubank passed for 250 yards and one touchdown but was picked twice. James Long turned in another impressive offensive performance for the Cavs with 11 catches for 144 yards and one touchdown.
Darren Elliott and Keith Mayes each recorded interceptions on the day for Glenville State, and Terry Reese led the team with six tackles. Elliott, who recorded his fifth pick of the season, gave GSC the lead for good on a 66-yard blocked field goal return for a touchdown in the first quarter.
Ohio Northern 45,
Marietta College 0
ADA, Ohio – Ohio Northern scored three touchdowns in the final 5:14 of the first half to take a 24-0 cushion at intermission here Saturday as visiting Marietta College dropped a 45-0 Ohio Athletic Conference game.
The Pioneers did get 118 yards rushing on 30 attempts from Tim Conner and 98 stripes on 20 rushes from Roger Bush, but MC dropped to 0-6.
Patrick Angle threw for 253 yards and three touchdowns while Justin Magazine toted 14 times for 115 yards rushing in the victory.
Ryan Malone had a 44-yard TD catch from Angle to open the second-half scoring. Malone also returned a punt 72 yards for a score.
