West Liberty 16, Glenville State 13
WEST LIBERTY – The Mountain East Conference opener turned out to be disastrous for visiting Glenville State here Saturday afternoon at Russek Field as the Pioneers were stymied by host West Liberty, 16-13.
GSC quarterback Sean Steele fumbled the ball early in the second quarter and Hilltopper Sam Robinson recovered it in the end zone as WLU (1-1) took a 7-0 advantage and never trailed.

Glenville State, which allowed only 252 total yards but had four turnovers including three interceptions from Steffen Colon, scored twice in the final five minutes. Colon tossed a 25-yard scoring strike to Rahman Lee, who later added a 10-yard TD run, but it wasn’t enough.
