Post 15 starter Clayton Cottrille left after two innings and allowed the first two runs in getting the mound setback. Anthony Kist worked the final five frames and also gave up a pair of earned runs.

Jobst, who went 6 2-3 innings and allowed one earned run while issuing just a single free pass and striking out seven, was staked to an early 2-0 lead before he took the mound. Kincaid got the first of his four straight hits with a one-out single to left. One out later, cleanup hitter Josh Bumgarner walked. Catcher John Cline and right fielder Ace Estep followed with consecutive RBI base knocks.

Parkersburg skipper Jim Goodwin’s club went just 2 for 14 with runners in scoring position and left a runner stranded in each inning.

Lucas Goodwin reached on an error and Braxton Johnson, who went 3 for 3 and stole a base, singled to center to start the fifth for the locals. Post 15 (21-13) got itself back into the contest when Case Edgar came through with a two-run double to right, which took a bad hop on Estep and shot by him. However, Jobst proceeded to retire Austin Cottrell, Devon Crews and Jordan Braniff to strand Edgar at third.

Post 15, which is set to invade St. Marys Post 79 for a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday, tried to get something going in the seventh. Johnson singled, but was erased on a 4-6-3 double play. Cottrell’s single knocked out Jobst, but Metz got Crews to end the game on a ground out.
