Conley big hit with local racing enthusiasts

PARKERSBURG – Wednesday represented a homecoming for local race car driver Cale Conley.

Conley displayed his No. 47 Ravici Racing car, in which he will ride on Saturday at the Columbus Motor Speedway, where he will be defending the championship he won there a year ago in NASCAR’s K&N Series, a career highlight.

Conley’s race team is located in Mooresville, N.C., where he lives full-time in the racing shop.

Heading his team is veteran crew chief Wes Ward, who has served in that capacity for drivers such as Kenny Wallace and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
