Vienna River Road Race set for Saturday, April 20
The Vienna River Road Race – a 5-mile run and a 5K walk -will be conducted on Saturday, April 20.
Runners will start at 8 a.m. from the Jackson Middle School athletic field, with the walkers starting five minutes later.
Runners will proceed down 34th Street to Grand Central Avenue, turning left at 55th Street and onto River Road.
Runners stay on River Road until they reach 32nd Street, taking it to Grand Central and turning right onto 34th Street for the stretch run to the finish line back inside the stadium.
Walkers also leave the stadium by way of 34th Street and turn onto Grand Central, before turning left at 41st Street and left again onto River Road. Once they reach 34th Street, they take it back to the stadium.
Entry fee if posted by April 13 is $12, $10 for members of the River City Runners and Walkers Club. From April 13 until race day, entry fee is $15 (there are no race day discounts).
Awards will be presented to the first three male and female overall finisher sand the winning masters male and female in both the run and walk divisions as well as the top three finishers in the following age groups: 4-and-under, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80-and over.
All entrants will receive a T-shirt. Door prizes will be available.

Registration also will be conducted from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 19, and on race day from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at the Vienna Community Building.
Once the Vienna River Road Run and Walk conclude, it is time for the River City Kids Races, set for 9 a.m., which are free of charge.
Kids registration will continue until the time of the race.
