Ever heard the words: "They seemed like such a nice person who would have thought that they would have done such a thing". "You know they taught my child and they never acted out like this, I just can't believe it, they was always a quite person"! No there is now a time and place for guns and thats not school! Not for anyone. At least not in todays times. I do remember a quite and gentler nation when this did happen and all for the reason of food. No harm meant to mankind. I have a lot of respect for teachers I seriously mean no dis-respect, I acually feel some are super heros, but everyone that I have met thus far are human! And if you listen close some will teach you the basic facts. That is that humans can be cruel.

By all means YES! Properly armed and properly trained staff could have saved MANY slaughtered students over the years. A school full of un-armed students and teachers is stupidity at it's worst! Lambs just waiting for slaughter!

This is a tough one. Guns available to proper persons could have saved lives in the multiple shootings. The PROPER persons would have to be carefully chosen and trained. After all, we put guns in the hands of service people, police, etc. and most of those people are not as educated as are teachers. Psych tests etc. are needed as well as marksmanship.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. One misplaced or mishandled firearm is all it takes. Or a teacher, feeling under-paid and unappreciated, goes postal. At least, as it is now, the gun may be in the car when the English teacher goes nuts, instead of worn on the hip or kept in the desk drawer. However, if you look at the other side, one may not start a shooting spree if it's likely the victims are ready and prepared to shoot back.

Are you kidding? It's bad enough that teachers at PHS are arrested for having marijuana in their cars (pothead Miller, the history teacher). The last thing we need is for those potheads to have weapons.
