Are We Influenced Or Just Disgusted By Political Preaching?

My family members roll their eyes, as they read, and I know Fred is back. This morning, it was a double whammy with the" all knowing "editorial. And the editor even calls republicans "obstructionists" at least two times. Classy paper. Buying the News and Sentinel today, was a waste of money that I will need for the fiasco called obamacare.

Well, I can't really believe you'd be suggesting that the nation headed by the most "open and transparent" (claimed) leader in it's entire history would be up to something nefarious.

Did you notice how Obama immediately rescinded all those horrible powers bestowed upon him with the Patriot Act legislation from that much maligned Bush administration? (SNARK!)

Didn't the fawning international community see fit to award Obama the Nobel Peace Prize before his first belch from eating his first meal in the WH?

How could you not trust the guy or any of the hundreds of department heads he holds under his thumb?

Here's a theory for you Kunect. What if Homeland Security knows that all this overseas wiretapping has us as a nation headed down a path of open confrontation with the "allies" we listen in on?

This country is getting too big for its breeches...acting all bully like...and one day if this keeps up the other nations on this planet are going to take us to task for it.

Kunect the problem with trying to find out why Homeland Security did what they did is that you have to be careful that you actually look for the truth in the matter.

Conspiracy Theorists tend to lean toward the most dramatic of outcomes.

"Flashback: Obama Wants 'Civilian National Security Force' That's As Powerful and Well-Funded as the Military"

YEAH, ONEILL - That Obama plan reaching fruition is "NOTHING"?

BTW myth - I find it 'curious' why you're willing to step up to the plate and swing at a pitch when I invited oneill to the plate.

mythravere - THAT (conspiracy theory) "pool" is rather wide and deep; "Why are the feds loading up on so much ammo?" "Why Did Obama Buy 1.6 Billion Bullets?" "Republicans embrace conspiracy theory that DHS is buying up ammo". Google it. Do your own research.

There are 2992 counties in the fifty states that compose America. The Obama DHS has ordered up 1,800 Mine Resistant Armored Personnel carriers (MRAPs). That works out to one of these mechanical behemoths needed for every 1.6 counties in our country. Read up on the capabilities of these vehicles and tell us, When was the last time you recall the need for one? h ttp://w ww.forbes.c om/sites/larrybell/2013/03/10/why-the-heck-is-dhs-buying-more-than-a-billion-bullets-plus-thousands-of-guns-and-mine-resistant-armored-vehicles/2/

I find it rather telling that Tinfoilhat has been missing for awhile....lol.

That being said how can someone trust the validity of those theories that are put forth by people who have such a jacked up world view?

Posted 315 days ago.

mythravere

Who is to say that the purchase of ammunition and vehicles isn't a manifestation of that excess?

Edit for clarity.

Also lets us consider the sources of these conspiracy theories.

The people that swim about in that "pool" are of a type who go to great lengths to find things that feed their need for the epic drama that is conspiracy theories.

They will latch onto the most obscure details and spin this massive web that tells a story that plays right into their fears.

The will also ignore any and all facts that come in the way of those beliefs.

Their logic is circular.

Kunnect lets us consider this. I am sure you would agree that Homeland Security has in its expansion since 9-11 been more slanted toward the excessive side in its operations rather than dealing with security issues in a pragmatic manner and operating with restraint.

Who is to say that the purchase of ammunition and vehicles isn't a manifestation of operations of that manner?

HEY ONEILL! Let's drop your rants about "Ayn Rand", "Atlas Shrugged", the "Barbary Pirates", yada, yada, yada for a while and have YOU answer a question. As YOU ARE a prominent, local water-carrier for Liberal causes, please explain the recent purpose for the purchase of 1.6 billion rounds of hollow-point ammunition and 2,700 Mine Resistant Armor Protected Vehicles (MRAP) by the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY, following BHO's reelection.

You don't like "conspiracy theories", Fred because, many times, they go to fact and call into question the motivations of your modern-day Caligula presently occupying the WH.

COME ON ONEILL!!! - Why does Uncle Barry Soetoro need that kind of firepower and armour for America's streets? What's he expecting to happen?

You can write whatever socialist tripe you want, i just don't plan to continue to pay for it via the News and Sentinel.

Funny as soon as the comments were stopped, the editor came out of his closet. No surprise there.

Tell me again,Fred, which party is it that keeps trying to silence the opposition? Remember now, don't watch Fox News said the " most transparent" leader in history. He is so open, we can see right through him.
