LtTE Overreactions

There are many people I respect on here, so it seems very odd to me when they go so off base with critiques on their own writings.

ineptitude is not an impeachable offense.

"Obama should be impeached for encouraging children to come here under inhumane conditions."

They left their own countries under inhumane conditions.

Given the state of some of the South American countries these people come from I can't blame them one bit for wanting to get out.

The Pilgrims did the same exact thing. The left their homes due to hostility etc.

And when they and others in later years got here they respected no ones claim to the lands over here. They took what they wanted. We have been and will always be a nation of immigrants.

I am going to point out something to you.

One month after 9-11. The southern border should have been sealed. It wasn't.

Why did the last president who had a massive terrorist attack happen on his watch decide not to seal up a possible entry point for further attacks.

You complain about Obama not doing anything at the border when others are just as guilty and more glaringly so given the fact they had a huge incentive to do so.

How do you know the House will not impeach obama?

The present senate would not convict him, but it is not certain that the House would not impeach him. The senate is not needed to impeach him. That is up to the House.

It would not he smart to impeach him, but many of us believe he deserves it.

"Obama should be impeached for encouraging children to come here under inhumane conditions."

1. He never encouraged any children to come here illegally.

2. He won't be impeached because he did nothing impeachable.

3. He won't be impeached because the Republicans are being wusses politically. Come on...sueing the President? It's just a lame ploy to keep the Far Rigth nutjobs happy. It won't go anywhere.

Myth ,you mean a white guy with an unquestionable birth certificate?

Obama is being sued for unconstitutional acts. Even some democrats say he cherry picks the laws of our country.

"Why wouldn't we blame obama.."

Perhaps something called reality could be a good reason. Unlike what some on the Far Right fears, Obama is not an Emperor. If their is a failure in govt, it is usually due to both the Executive and Legislative branches and not just one.

"Why wouldn't we blame obama for the awful messes he has made for us to live with?"

Because honestly, truthfully the mess this country is in can't be all laid at the feet of one man.

A big portion of the problem on the other hand can squarely be put on those who decided to throw an eight year hissy fit because they don't like the guy who got elected. And I am not talking about disagreeing with his policies. I am talking about people not liking Obama from the get go because of who he is...vehemently so at that.

Had a white guy with a normal sounding name been elected I seriously doubt we'd have seen half the bs the right has brought to the table.

At our house we always smile ar Fred's letters. In fact, we laugh out loud. Why wouldn't we blame obama for the awful messes he has made for us to live with?

My far right actions affect Myth so much, they boggle his mind. So that is wat does it. Lol

And what makes it worse is that for right wingers. They have to tow that line or they will be looked as an outsider or intruder in their own party.

I mean it is mind boggling that they act the way they do.

I think that Obama becoming the President literally caused the right to undergo some sort of collective psychological break.

From all of the insane conspiracy theories they peddle to putting the act of undermining anything and everything Obama does before the good of this nation to the utter denial facts on the various issues...they have went off the deep end.

I had to smile at Fred O'neil's "Blaming Obama for everything" letter to the editor this past week. He was spot on with how anything that could be bad is blamed on Obama by some people.

A plane gets shot down over Ukraine and it's Obama's fault.

Illegals are coming by droves to our borders, Obama must be telling them to.

Ben Affleck is going to play Batman, dang you Obama for making that happen.

In a few years their will be a new President and if he is Repulican he will blame Obama for a few years for everything and then the Dems will treat him or her as well as the Repubicans are treating Obama. Political Karma.

I hope this Found is right, even though it seems likely he's wrong.

Lol...just wait, now with that one Found of Greenpeace coming out again to say man doesn't have much if anything to do with global warming..the nuts are bound to grab hold of that. Even though the guy hasn't really done any recent research on the topic that I am aware of.

Then we have Allen Ross talking about climate change. He has this very weird idea that since we only consist of 6% of the world's population (is that even right?) that means what? We only produce 6% of the world's energy and pollution? Complete stupidity.

At least we can all agree with him about wanting a clean and secure environment.

wow, the odd balls were out this Sunday.

We had Dent trying to justify his belief that giving soldiers the chance to wear uniform approved clothing for religious reasons is bad. He decided to go down the slippery slope fallacy with his whole Devil Worship angle.

Then we had Martin showing a immense lack of knowledge in where freedom or religion comes from. It wasn't from the Bible. No where does it say you have a choice, you believe in God or burn. Like Dent, he makes the error in worrying about how other nations act. We don't dictate our actions by what other ppl do...we chose our own way.
