There are many people I respect on here, so it seems very odd to me when they go so off base with critiques on their own writings.
I suppose this answers the question if you ever write many letters to the editor. That answer is a resounding no.
What's childish about it? It's as fake as your other screen name and makes just as much sense.
Watch that thin skin lad..it seems to break easily.
But since I hurt you, I apologize and will try this again.
Do you understand the letter to the editor policies? You are not suppose to write more than a certain number of letters in a given amount of time.
I don't think Kendall's afraid to call out somebody. I say this because he's not afraid to attach his name to his posts.
I call that taking responsibility.
Do you understand the letter to the editor policies R1krap? You are not suppose to write more than a certain number of letters in a given amount of time.
I don't like MSNBC at all. I am a realist Ithink.
I have no problem with a person saying Obama lied in regards to Obamacare. I think he did at some level. But when you start saying he lied because of Muslim connections or other bs...then that person should be called out.
You should apply for a talking head job on MSNBC, Kendall. You could all go around with your heads in the mud.
@Tired- you are welcome to interpret the verse and the use by Brant as you see fit. I simply see it as silly to apply that specific verse and its implications to Obama.
Frankly the verse applies to us all in one way or another.
Lying is lying and Obama did lie. He made false witness and the verse applies.
Sadly...it is the Fringe Right that would be more welcoming of the verse to be aimed at them. They have openly lied about many things in regards to Obama and show no shame in it.
But this to wouldn't be appropriate because when one uses Biblical verses to justify political points of view...it's quite silly.
I think the writer of the letter and those that deal in destroying other people's character should focus on John 13:34 and IJohn the 4th chapter.
Are you a theologian?
A great deal of that chapter involves Jesus expalining who he is and his connection to God. Since Judaism believes that the Lord God is One, the notion of God having a "son" in the literal clashed.
Basically when questioned by the Pharisee and other in the Temple, Jesus told them that if they were of God they would realize the truth in who he was. But since they did not understand, then their understanding comes from another source other than God...ergo..the devil.
The verse and chapter has nothing to do with politics but everything to do with Jesus justifying himself as of the Father.
The verse albeit misplaced is appropriate.
So you tell me theologian, what was Jesus saying?
I've read the Bible from cover to cover..I know what it says but how the writer of the letter utilized that verse is what is important in the discussion, not how the writers of the gospels meant it to be used.
Well you need to read the bible passage from the bible to understand what means, I doubt you will take the time. I am not defending the man's rant, but like I said, it ain't much different than some of the vile things Fred has said.
Actually I read the whole letter and question if you have or if you even understood it at all.
The letter is full of ad hominems and gross misrepresentations. The writer's bias reeks within his writing.
When a man writes that, "Obama's other source of lying expertise comes from the Koran..", I have very little reason to believe that he wasn't calling Obama a son of the devil with the use of that Bible quote.
Now if he hadn't written that and other colorful yet factless sayings, then I would give him the benefit of the doubt.
Have you read the quote in context? No that would take effort on your part and its just easier to fixate on a word and fake leftist outrage.
@Ithink- "Oneill has called conservatives every bad name imaginable."
But my question was, has Fred basically called anyone the son of the devil. Maybe he has but I haven't seen it.
"I guess when you are a Maher fan"
Actually I am but not for all the various ways he explains himself. I personally think he goes too far but he has also praised the Republican party before and defended Israel in regards to protecting their borders.
@Tired, quoting the letter in question, "Where do these lies come from? John 8:44 reads, "You are of your father the devil.for he is a liar and the father of it.""
Yeah..still sounds like he is basically calling him the son of the devil due to his lies but you go with what you think he means.
Oneill has called conservatives every bad name imaginable. His letters are disgusting. I guess when you are a Maher fan, you become immune to bad behavior unless it comes from a conservative.
