Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

By the way tiredbrain , who funds NASA? according to your way of thinking they are just in it for the money !

Is there a scientific consensus on global warming?~~~~~~~ YES !

www dot skepticalscience dot com/global-warming-scientific-c Some very interesting reading !

According to a report by NASA, the deep waters in the world’s oceans have not warmed in nearly a decade, countering one theory for the hiatus in global warming. Some climate scientists have tried to explain away the lack of global warming in the last 18 years by blaming oceans.

"It's okay to believe people on some things, but not on others. I don't know anybody who's always right."

Of course and that is a rational point of view. But Stillwrong doesn't share that thinking. He supports the Doc and gives no reason why he supports him. So one might as well say that he supports the Doc simply because of who he is.

And of course Harry would support a fellow fraud like Mann

IF co2 is responsible for the warming of the last century, why did it end 18 years ago while Co2 level continued to rise unabated?>>???

I have asked if fries are wanted many times, I worked at a McDonalds back when was in college. YEP not ashamed of working fast food, or being a Union Steward in the IAM, both good learning experiences.

@ ohwiseone,

You've picked an excellent source of information if you're getting your information from Dr. Michael Mann, an actual climate scientist who has the expertise to understand the issue. He's published 160 peer-reviewed papers.

And Dr. Mann's trustworthiness has been investigated and he's been cleared of fraud. He's withstood political attacks, like the investigation Va. Attorney General Ken Cuchinelli conducted against him and the CRU hacked emails fake controversy.

In all these, Dr. Mann was exonerated of any fraud.

So Dr. Mann has expertise and investigations have failed to find him untrustworthy. He's a good source.

@Kendall,

It's okay to believe people on some things, but not on others. I don't know anybody who's always right.

But here's the main point: I don't know of any climate scientist who disputes the basic tenet of global warming: that CO2 is a greenhouse gas.

So why no warming?

Posted 16 days ago.

Stillhere

MIT climate scientist Dr Richard Lindzen

Their excuse for the absence of warming over the past 17 years is that the heat is hiding in the deep ocean.  However, this is simply an admission that the models fail to simulate the exchanges of heat between the surface layers and the deeper oceans.  However, it is this heat transport that plays a major role in natural internal variability of climate, and the IPCC assertions that observed warming can be attributed to man depend crucially on their assertion that these models accurately simulate natural internal variability.  Thus, they now, somewhat obscurely, admit that their crucial assumption was totally unjustified.

Still no warming in 18 years

Unlike you Stillwrong, Harry actually explains his point of view on topics. I've never known him to just go into absolutes when it suits him.

Your style though is to post whatever is easy and never break down your thoughts on the topic. You two are hardly similar to one another.

Lolol skeptical science????? Michael Mann's activist website lolol. Yea ok

Nothing wrong in pointing out his faulty logic in believing part of what a doc says but ignoring the rest. Wouldn't you agree?

I agree 100% just like I point out Harry believing science when it suites him
