Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

Phil Jones, former head of the Climatic Research Unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, made a number of eye-popping statements to the BBC's climate reporter on Sunday. Data from CRU, where Jones was the chief scientist, is key evidence behind the claim that the growth of cities (which are warmer than countryside) isn't a factor in global warming and was cited by the U.N.'s climate science body to bolster statements about rapid global warming in recent decades.

Jones's latest statements seemed to contradict the CRU's data.

In response to the question, "do you agree that from 1995 to the present there has been no statistically significant global warming?", Jones said yes, adding that the average increase of 0.12C per year over that time period "is quite close to the significance level. Achieving statistical significance in scientific terms is much more likely for longer periods, and much less likely for shorter periods."

Reuters) – Scientists are struggling to explain a slowdown in climate change that has exposed gaps in their understanding and defies a rise in global greenhouse gas emissions.

What do you mean it cannot be accounted for??? First there has been no warming in 10 years and secondly, why would the caauses be any less natural this cycle vs the many others>???

" Too much data shows many cycles of climate over recorded history"

But the thing is the current warming can not be accounted for by natural causes. At least the bulk of it. There are natural variables at play. But none of them can account for all the warming.

You do know we have taken billions of tons of carbon out of the ground and set it loose into the atmosphere?

That has consequences.

Your money and your freedoms are products of your government, and the ice sheets aren't melting because of the actions of a wizard behind a curtain in the land of oz. I do know that I enable a greater potential for passive solar heat, if my collection medium isn't reflective of the sun's rays.

Mod I dont view it as a reality in any form. Too much data shows many cycles of climate over recorded history to jump to the conclusion that we need to hand over our money and freedoms to the government

The one item I could never come to grips with was the size of earth. 70% water 20% uninhabitable and how much of that remaining 10% is actually inhabited? 1/2 a percent? And in a hundred or so years we have caused global warming? Yes,you are right I don't understand the data.

It is my opinion that it is a well documented reality, tiredofit.Do you require a self verification of this process?
