Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

Probably thinks that global warming means no more cold and the cold we've been seeing is proof positive that its all a lie!

Whaaahahahahahahahah!

I see the coward is at it again.

Aaah so funny. Ask him to show us what convinces him the science is wrong in regards to mans role in changing the climate and he flat out refuses to.

Instead he gives enormous weight to this idea that scientists seeking funding is the be all end all reason behind why climate scientists take the position they do.

HILARIOUS!

"what is NOT a sign of Climate change"

Sorry...proving a negative is impossible. I have asked, many times, what evidence you have to the contrary to the stance that their is manmade climate change. We still are waiting.

“Isn't it just so convenient to believe in a climate religion that causes EVERYTHING?”

That’s a blatant misrepresentation. Nobody here has claimed that anthropogenic climate change causes everything.

@Ithink- are you suggesting that we should follow your way and just cling to ignorance and not to try and find out what is causing the cahnges in our world?

If you do not think that changes in our worl's climate is due in part to mankind, then what evidence do you have to show the contrary?

@Tired- no one is saying that an idividual tornado is caused by global warming and climate change. What is being said that the increase in tornado activity is a result of those changes in the climate.

Do you know what the typical weather pattern was in Northern Africa 20,000 years? It was a much wetter place but climate change made it into a desert. So yes, climate change can create drought.

Isn't it just so convenient to believe in a climate religion that causes EVERYTHING?

Too hot?......too cold?......GW

Hurricanes, tornadoes,rain, drought,ice meltng, ice freezing.....GW

They can't lose. They just ride whatever is the current of the day, to the bank. And we pay and pay and pay.

If you have kids or grandkids Ithink and they bring this subject up and you tell them its all hogwash just know that they will likely see you as a fool when it does affect them.

You know what made Typhoon Haiyan so strong? It hit a huge swath of water that was 86 degrees down to a depth of 300ft.

The winds in that storm hit 195mph at one point.

That happens in the atlantic? We will see a huge hurricane hit the east coast.

I don't think I will stay awake at night worrying, uselessly, ahout the people who voluntarily live at sea level Key West.

If you warmers do, or don't, spit in the ocean, you are as insignificant as a grain of sand. Your self importance is greatly exaggerated.

Even Heartland Institute honcho Joe Bast admitted that the counter climate change movement (CCCM) hasn’t changed the opinions of climate scientists. The journal Nature reported Bast said,

“We've won the public opinion debate, and we've won the political debate as well, but the scientific debate is a source of enormous frustration."

It’s easy for the CCCM to win the public opinion and political debates now because most of us aren’t personally experiencing the effects of climate change.

However, if 97% of the most-published and peer-reviewed experts are right, the CCCM, which is already losing the scientific debate, will also lose the public opinion and political debates as people experience the ill effects of climate change for themselves.

Experience may not be the best teacher, but it is certainly a teacher.

"Why should we be concerned about GW, if it doesn't warm or cool us? We hardly have to worry about ocean overwash here in the WV hills. What's the big deal?"

Ithink I don't know about you but I like living in a less than heavily populated area. Parkersburg is the right size. Flooding of the coastal areas would mean mass migrations of people farther inland into areas such as our own.

Now I am sure there are benefits to that but given that a lot the areas along the coasts host very large populations those very large populations would bring their problems with them.

I want no part of that. It would dilute the character of the places those people move into. Not to mention the crime rate would climb.

"We hardly have to worry about ocean overwash here in the WV hills."

Let's hope Florida or any of the states with coastlines ever come to you asking for help.

I guess the general response to the Elk River problem should have been, "Oh well...not our problem...***** to be you."

Dang when are you people going to get it that the warming does not translate into total warming of the planet. Sure the climate is heating up but that still doesn't mean that the polar areas of this planet are just stopping being cold.

They are still very cold and that is where this cold is coming from.
