Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

I have read the emails about suppressing deserting views have you?

Tiredofit

Harry can you prove they are not? So just where are you posting from again?

“…majority of government funded researchers who funding is dependant on those findings.”

But you’ve already admitted, Tiredofit, that you can cite no climate science grants that are tied to results.

We dealt with this 127 days ago on the “Okay, gun fetish…” thread. At that time, you posted the following: “No one give grants with a condition attached as far as I know, but they do invest in research that has an outcome they like.”

So how can you now say “funding is dependent (sic) on those findings”?

Do you have new information that you didn’t have 127 days ago?

Tiredofit

Lets try this, the propaganda campaign of the majority of government funded researchers who funding is dependant on those findings.

I told you once that I would no longer employ the phrase “anti-science propaganda campaign,” Tiredofit. I certainly didn’t mean to offend you when I used it.

Maybe I should have called it “the propaganda campaign to discredit the conclusions of almost all the climate scientists who publish on the issue.”

It’s a bit wordy, but it may have been considered inoffensive. I’m all for trying to avoid giving offense.

I take great issue with the title of this thread. If Harry had omitted the word anti-science, perhaps I would not have had to point out his anti-science views, but that is water under the bridge now

Harry is hypocritical in his views and I point that out, it is not I that calls people azzhole one phuck, that would be you. You have no room to criticize but that won't impede you I am sure. You seem to feel the need to categorize people to make it easier to focus your resentment against them.

Logic makes up for it.

Tiredofit

Well myth sorry for your lack of math skills, but you ability to analyze scientific data more than makes up for it eh?

mythravere

Oh and just so you know I really dont have an inflated view of self worth. I am stuck in a dead end job because I'm horrible at math. I had to take special classes because I was so bad at it. My inabilities put me square at the bottom of the ladder in the grand scheme of things.

Nothing more than another face with a boot stomped into it...

Nah! I'd really like to see the justification behind how you deal with Harry and what he brings to the table.

I mean you Republicans are the standard bearers for having impeccable manners and such.

Oh good example. The cleanliness of the sites you guys protest at. Left immaculate! WOW!

But when it comes to reasoning and rationale.....you guys crap all over everything.

Clean in one way dirty in another.

Myth please refer to my earlier statement.

I think you should explain to this forum why it is you show such disrespect for Harry when he directs nothing toward you...at all!

Acting that way toward Harry reflects poorly on your character.

But thats pretty much par for the course when it comes to how the right deals with people that they find in opposition to the positions they cling to.

Its one of the Bushiites cornerstone policies.

If you aint with us(apparently in totality)then you're against us.

Say it aint so! I never woulda figured!

Tiredofit

Myth while I suppose with your inflated sense of self worth, you believe I give two rats behinds what you think, however lad I do not.

Posted 330 days ago.

mythravere

And Republicans wonder why they get little respect? LOL! You gotta give it to get it.

Here's the thing. And this just proves that people on the right like Tiredofit are card carrying as5holes.

Me and my dealings with people like you I can understand you mouthing me back. I aint exactly nice when I try and make my points.

Harry on the other hand? I can not recall him being gruff or short with you not even once. He has repeatedly tried the civil approach with you in trying to discuss issues with you.

Instead of reciprocating and doing unto others as you would have them do unto you....you cut Harry down for what he believes...you try and drag him through the mud.....you flat out disrespect him.

All the while Harry maintains his decorum.

Thats rather slimy of you Tired.

A fellow named harry walked into a highschool anthropology class. The professor begin to teach about prehistoric man. Harry spoke up saying the world is just a few thousand years old and was created in just six days. The professor offered some fossil evidence of his view but harry said no its all fake and science is just wrong. The class laughed.

A NY male dancer named Laurent got a job with the traveling company of a Broadway show. The show visited his hometown. One night, while walking through a his old downtown haunts, Laurent heard moans coming from an alley. He looked in the alley and discovered a man who had been severely beaten by some local toughs. Laurent turned the man over. The man’s eyes were swollen shut. He had been beaten so badly that he had lost one of his work boots.

Laurent, who had been inspired by the story of the Good Samaritan, leaned the man against a wall and said, “I’ll help you get some medical care. I’ll even pay for it.”

The man forced one eye open. He could only open it enough to see Laurent’s patent leather shoes. The man shuddered and ordered, “Leave me alone. I don’t want no help from people like you.”

Laurent obediently walked on. The next morning, some passersby found the man dead. The coroner said he had died only an hour before.

This is hilarious. Tiredofit Harry is trying to have just a simple rational discussion with you on the topic of using coal wisely....LOL!
