Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

ht tp://dailycaller.co m/2014/05/22/republicans-can-change-the-debate-on-climate-change/?

Many of us Republicans won't go along with the demagogues. We want a seat at the table when solutions are being considered, and we may not get that seat if we practice balkanization.

As far as this being an issue that should only be addressed by the "socialist left," many Republicans disagree.

Republican pollster Alex Lundry wrote in the right-leaning Daily Caller:

"Americans believe global climate change is real. This includes 51% of Republicans who say the effects are already happening, or will happen shortly, or will happen in their lifetimes."

The polling I've conducted has convinced me of the necessity for Republicans to address these real concerns about climate change in ways that reflect our principles and priorities and satisfy public demand for practical solutions."

"A new study by a “group of mean reactionary science purists” at the Journal Nature Climate Change took a look at 117 of the Left’s wild claims."

Tired...try to lie better will you. The title is,"Global warming predictions proven wrong 97.4% of the time"

Predictions are not the same as facts. Why do you think that if a prediction is incorrect that the science is wrong too?

If it is predicted that 14.7 million illegals are going to cross the border but only 14.6 million do...is there still a problem with immigration even if the prediction didn't pan out?

"Global warming predictions.."

I think you are confused by predictions and facts Tired.

"Suddenly the Marxist socialist left saw the opportunity.."

Conspiracy theory. No evidence.

"They are pretty invested in this thing and tend to lash out when you question their religion."

Whose "they".

I simply look at the science of the situation. It's those that look toward conspiracies like govt coverups or payoffs that treat this topic like a religion.

As we add to our understanding of this topic, attitudes change. But...if a person thinks global warming is not happening, then they should show evidence instead of..well...nothing.

A new study by a “group of mean reactionary science purists” at the Journal Nature Climate Change took a look at 117 of the Left’s wild claims.  Its results are devastating for Gore and the Left. They show that 114, or 97.4%, of them were wrong. They weren’t just a little “ooops, I hit the wrong number on my computer – wrong but wrong by a you – don’t – know what – in- the – world – you’re –are talking – about” wrong.  The average “mistake” was an overstatement of global warming by double actual reality.

Global warming predictions proven wrong 97.4% of the time, so 97% cuts both ways lol

Oh yeah, they have excommunicated the high priest Algore since he sold his network for big oil bucks. No warming in well over 15 years is just grinding their gears, how can it be, our high priests warmed us we would be cooked (pun intended). By now if we didn't give the socialist s more money and power.

As the years roll by and predictions fall flat, they get more desperate and more angry. They change the name of the religion, so virtual y anything can serve as proof that the prophet Algore was right all along.

Expect a disjointed rant from Myth about the right, Christians and chemtrails, maybe Jimmy will chime in with some snide comments too. They are pretty invested in this thing and tend to lash out when you question their religion.

Yep Thatsabsurd, how they wish to IGNORE those things. Truth is no one really paid much attention to them back then, not until they hit on co2 as the culprit. Suddenly the Marxist socialist left saw the opportunity, along with a complaint media, they began to propagandize science and take more control of the private sector.

NOAA announced its predictions for the 2006 hurricane season, saying it expects an "above normal" year with 13-16 named storms. Of these storms, the agency says it expects four to be hurricanes of category 3 or above, double the yearly average of prior seasons in recorded history. With experts calling the coming hurricane season potentially worse than last year's, oil prices have jumped 70 cents per barrel in New York and made similar leaps elsewhere. Economists anticipate that demand for oil will rise sharply over the summer, when as many as four major hurricanes could hit the United States. -- Seed Magazine 5/19/06

Very Active 2007 Hurricane Season Predicted - The U.S. Atlantic basin will likely experience a very active hurricane season, the Colorado State University forecast team announced today, increasing its earlier prediction for the 2007 hurricane season. The team's forecast now anticipates 17 named storms forming in the Atlantic basin between June 1 and Nov. 30. Nine of the 17 storms are predicted to become hurricanes, and of those nine, five are expected to develop into intense or major hurricanes (Saffir/Simpson category 3-4-5) with sustained winds of 111 mph or greater. - Science Daily April 3, 2007

A number of climatologists, whose job it is to keep an eye on long-term weather changes, have lately been predicting deterioration of the benign climate to which we have grown accustomed….Various climatologists issued a statement that “the facts of the present climate change are such that the most optimistic experts would assign near certainty to major crop failure in a decade,” If policy makers do not account for this oncoming doom, “mass deaths by starvation and probably in anarchy and violence” will result.
