Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

Very nicely written and he is quite right.

Former Republican Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman wrote in a NY Times op-ed yesterday.

"So obtuse has become the party’s dialogue on climate change that it’s now been reduced to believing or not believing, as if it were a religious mantra.

"This approach reached a new low last month during a North Carolina congressional debate at which all the Republican candidates chuckled at a question on climate change — as if they had been asked about their belief in the Tooth Fairy. Is climate change a fact, they were asked. All four answered no. This is a shortsighted strategy that is wrong for the party, wrong for the country and wrong for the next generation. It simply kicks a big problem farther down the field. And it’s a problem we — as solution-seeking Republicans — have the opportunity to solve."

What is the difference between "to win an election" and "to not lose an election"?

Nope, just based on the behavior you exhibit on here. I suggest you change your behavior.

Since "nuts" was an opinion and not a diagnosis, I'll forgive you for your error.

But even you should be able to see that the majority of Americans do not base their votes on global warming. If that was the case then the Far Right would dominate Congress since most Ameericans do not see the worry in global warming.

"on your side"

What side is that? I vote primarily Republican.

But if you are mistaken into thinking I am a Dem or liberal, the fact is that it is highly doubtful that they will lose much of their power in Congress. From what it seems like at the moment, the division of power between the Republicans and Democrats will probably end up being more even with niether having a stranglhold on the power.

Wow...you are just nuts aren't you?

You really think that Global Warming is a last ditch effort to win an election? I think you are a bit delusional.

" If the money and favors were stopped, the false percentage of scientists who believe this fable would evaporate even more."

That sounds like a big ol guess with no evidence to back it up. Unlike Global Warming that actually has facts to back it up.

Di

Die for nothing if you want. But don't take others with you who know better. If the money and favors were stopped, the false percentage of scientists who believe this fable would evaporate even more.

"Obama is going to ruin us economically. For nothing. China and India will go on doing as they are doing."

So, since other countries are doing the wrong thing...that should prevent us from doing the right thing?

"is that they think the science is settled and complete. No true science is complete."

No but you cannot make choices in the here and now by waiting for the future. You have to make educated choices based on what science says at the moment.

So, what does science say about Global Warming as of right now? That is what we have to go on.

Increasingly intense hurricanes, harry? I could have sworn that we had a very weak season last year.

The big problem with the climate change crowd is that they think the science is settled and complete. No true science is complete. Events will happen that can not be planned or known in advance.

Obama is going to ruin us economically. For nothing. China and India will go on doing as they are doing. Many Americans will starve and it wll all be in vain.

Take away the grants and other rewards

"The National Climate Assessment, four years in the making, gave a region-by-region breakdown of how climate change is impacting the United States -- in the form of droughts, heat waves and increasingly intense hurricanes, though it is still uncertain how much of that is due to "human activity." The report stopped short of definitively attributing a rash of extreme weather to man-made climate change, concluding 'there is new and stronger evidence that many of these increases are related to human activities.'"

Well, considering there is no good side, one has to make a choice on who represents them the best.

Most conservatives are not racist, but how long will they vote with the crowd that tends to be pegged as racist?

"I've known quite a few that hate abortion." But not enough to keep them from voting for Liberals nonetheless. How many planks of the lefts" platform must you hate to vote for a different party?

Not everyone on the Left supports abortion. I've known quite a few that hate abortion.

You said, "Yep, when a misrepresentation of the "right" is being blabbed about.."

So it made perfect sense to ask you how the Right is being misrepresented.

Left supports abortion, left supports anything that produces electricity if it's not oil, coal or nuclear. Burning aborted fetuses to make electricity must make their day. Simple logic is not an unfounded myth. Little earlier pop culture that has a chance to be true: "Soylent green is people!!" the ultimate leftist recycle.

You know the scene in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy where Frodo while in Rivendell Bilbo visits him. Bilbo gets a glimpse of the one ring and goes crazy over it wanting it back.

Yep when Obama got elected that was how they reacted.

Now I'm just gonna sit back and see if anyone makes fun of me for referencing pop culture.
