Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

According to Ithink’s article, Lindzen believes the same thing Tiredofit does—that funding drives the consensus view. Lindzen and Tiredofit share another trait in this regard—they claim funding drives the consensus view but provide no evidence to back up that claim.

The article further points to Lindzen’s ideological agenda by stating:

“But Lindzen, perhaps because of his safely tenured status at MIT, or just because of the contours of his personality, is a particularly outspoken and public critic of the consensus. It’s clear that he relishes taking on the “alarmists.’”

The Drudge article also acknowledges that Lindzen has an ideological agenda:

“One frustrating feature of the climate debate is that people’s outlook on global warming usually correlates with their political views. So if a person wants low taxes and restrictions on abortion, he probably isn’t worried about climate change. And if a person supports gay marriage and raising the minimum wage, he most likely thinks the threat from global warming warrants costly public-policy remedies. And of course, even though Lindzen is an accomplished climate scientist, he has his own political outlook—a conservative one. “

I, too, say it’s frustrating—people shouldn’t let political considerations lead them to disbelieve (or overbelieve) the science of Anthropological Climate Change.

“Tired or Ithink have not yet produced any evidence that global warming/climate change is not being affected by mankind.”

Of course not. Quite the reverse. Ithink even went so far as to produce evidence that climate change IS being affected by mankind.

As Kendall correctly quoted from the Drudge article cited by Ithink:

“There’s hardly anyone serious who says that man has no role.”

So Ithink herself has provided evidence that man’s activities are affecting the climate. Richard Lindzen believes that, even if Ithink and Tiredofit don’t.

Thanks to Ithink for pointing this out.

Lindzen believes man is making the planet warmer. He disagrees with others in that he says the warming isn’t enough to take seriously. I hope he’s right.

Man it couldn't be more simple. Ithink and tiredofit being in camp that has the honest truth should be able to list the natural causes that are responsible for climate change.

But...they just will not do it.

Flying Spaghetti Monster why oh why?

Clarification please. The geological age of the Earth or the age as described by the Bible?

Posted 227 days ago.

Kendall, 1800 is not a long time ago in the age of this old earth. Tell me exactly what happened since the earth was created, and you might have some credibilty.

Wow...you are a twit.

Tiredofit

OH I am sorry, do you actually control the climate, I didn't think you did, my apologies neat trick you have there, how about dialing it up a bit for a few days.

Kendall78

I am sorry you took it the wrong way Tired. It was merely a request to keep things easier to follow. That was all.

Also, your controlling climate comment was quite juvenile.

"while you wait for me to try to prove the unknown. You and your red friends take care of that silliness."

I have never asked you or anyone toprove anything beyond what you have claimed to know.

Please...can you explain how I am "red"? Not that it has anything to do with the topic but I am curious how you came to that conclusion.

Tiredofit

Tired...you might want to combine more of your points together so we don't have such a spread out conversation. I will post how and when I choose. Sorry you don't control that any more than climate.

Well, Lizden did say the following,

1. "We all agree that temperature has increased since 1800."

2. "We all agree that CO2 is a greenhouse gas."

3. "there’s hardly anyone serious who says that man has no role. And in many ways, those have never been the questions. The questions have always been, as they ought to be in science, how much?"

I agree with all those things he said. Do you?

Oñ Drudge, click on " MIT climate scientist takes on the Warmists."

Oh, Drudge is below your IQ level. So strange that the most successful sources are not on your educated approved list.

Hold your breath, Kendall, while you wait for me to try to prove the unknown. You and your red friends take care of that silliness.

"Unless I missed it, I am guessing not much has changed in the debate and that Tired or Ithink have not yet produced any evidence that global warming/climate change is not being affected by mankind."

You would be correct.

As a matter of fact if tiredofit doesn't answer a question that he seemingly knows the answer so that what he said can be scrutinized it'll show full well he's dishonest.

"You can Google socialist countries yourself, it ain't hard."

Uh no! You mentioned socialist countries with miserable citizens.

Failure to list those countries that have citizens who you know are miserable because of socialism will mean you are lying.

Unless I missed it, I am guessing not much has changed in the debate and that Tired or Ithink have not yet produced any evidence that global warming/climate change is not being effected by mankind.

Good giref, it hasn't even been 24 hours since my last comment and it was 6 pages back. I know we all tend to do 1 or 2 sentence responses, but Tired...you might want to combine more of your points together so we don't have such a spread out conversation. I would also recommend that to R1K, but he thinks his pointless headlines serve a purpose.

If you warmers buy into this notion that record cold is caused by Global Warming, there is no hope left for you. The usual suspects are touting this deep freeze as Global Warming, no really.

Tiredofit

Record breaking cold grips US.
