Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

But I didn't ask for evidence. You did. Let's agree on the basic science first, then we'll proceed to the subtleties.

You asked me to present evidence, and I did. Stop trying to change the subject.

" However, it is this heat transport that plays a major role in natural internal variability of climate, and the IPCC assertions that observed warming can be attributed to man depend crucially on their assertion that these models accurately simulate natural internal variability."

The thing about these models is that I get the sense that its hard to predict in real time what the climate is going to do in the near term.

We've already seen them get this wrong with hurricane prediction.

Why won't you give a straight answer?

"Co2.is a trace gas making up a very minute percentage of our atmosphere"

You are right. But our planet has pretty much had an atmosphere with a chemical makeup that stay the same for a long period of time.

That is until we started burning carbon based fuels in ever increasing amounts.

We know that in lots of cases life itself hangs by a thread. Too much of this or too much of that and things change some for the better others for the worst.

And so it goes with how our climate behaves when the chemical composition of our atmosphere is changed and those changes lead other changes. Like the heat trapping ability of our atmosphere is increasing.

Do you accept that CO2 is a greenhouse gas?

harryanderson

Are you saying you won't won't accept the evidence I provided? Yes or no? If no, why not? What's wrong with it?

"If you recall one person on here tried to OUT you by your real name. I called them on it as out of bounds"

Thanks for that but I have to say that in this debate you aren't being fair at all.

The whole point of you asking for proof is just so that you can deny it.

You ask me to provide evidence. I did. Then I asked if you accept that evidence. You haven't answered.

So you reject the scientific testimony of Dr. Lindzen that CO2 is a greenhouse gas? Why?

Posted 135 days ago.

harryanderson

Okay, Tiredofit, I’ll assume you agree to look at and consider the evidence I provide.

Let’s begin our proof with the something basic. Earlier, you referred to a piece by Dr. Richard Lindzen, a climate scientist who holds that most of his peers have overstated the threat of climate change.

Here’s evidence from Dr. Lindzen that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas:

According to the New York Times, “Dr. Lindzen accepts the elementary tenets of climate science. He agrees that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, calling people who dispute that point ‘nutty.’”

htt p://ww w.nytimes.co m/2012/05/01/science/earth/clouds-effect-on-climate-change-is-last-bastion-for-dissenters.html?pagewanted=3&_r=0

Do you accept this as evidence that carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas? If not, why not?

As far as I am concerned and not it doesn't condone what I said. But you fired first.

YOU WILL LIVE WITH THOSE WORDS. LOL!

Just because you think I support socialist causes doesn't mean I do. Do you support child molestation? Would you like me to start insinuating that you do? Keep it up and I will. You attack me I'll hit back ten times harder. I'm done playing games with you. Either discuss this issue without the ******** insinuations or step the **** out! Am I clear?

This is the real post.

"I will still expose you for what you are every time you post with your own words"

Well I guess you still have use for me after all.

Expose me for what. Refusing to let you walk all over me on here?

The dependence on fossil fuel energy sources since the industrial revolution has undoubtedly shaped economic prosperity for the developed world. However, an unfortunate by-product of fossil fuel combustion is the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2), an important greenhouse gas that is known to influence long-term climatic variations through its ability to absorb infra-red radiation.

Human emissions of CO2 have resulted in atmospheric levels higher than any period over the last 20 million years. The continued emission of CO2 will lead to widespread climate change related impacts. ~~Climate Change Research Centre (CCRC) UNSW Australia, Sydney NSW 2052 Australia All I advocate is there IS research that says man has and will have a role in climate change !

This online persona if you want to call it that doesn't reflect who I am in the real world.

I know its true of me and probably of you too. We'd never talk like this in public.

To have had a "use" for me to begin with speaks volumes about Tireddofit.

That just proves that your only intention on here was to troll people and mess with them.
