Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

No you don't have the first clue what the end game is of the things you support. I guess it's lack of experience, or blind ignorance dont know dont care

"Noaa climate project manager admits climate scientists exagerate to gain funding and attention so yes I do have a reasonable doubt"

One man is hardly confirmation however.

NOAA has said, "The fact that globally averaged surface air temperature has shown no trend or even slight cooling over the last 7 years is not an accurate reflection of long-term general trends. In fact, calculation of a trend over the last seven years is a gross mischaracterization of the longer term trend."

"You will ignore anything that doesnt support your desire to give more of your freedom to govt."

I have ignored nothing. You just are not convincing in your rants.

I never once said we should give any freedoms away. You are reaching.

"ever heard of climategate??????"

Yep..a tired old smokeless gun that has nothing to do with the scientists we are talking about.

"Noaa now there is a unbiased source."

You have any reason based on fact instead of ignorance not to trust them?

"The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures"

This is funny. You say that the temp isn't going higher while ignoring that the average for this timeframe is in fact higher than any 17 year swath since 1850.

Answer this truthfully if you are able, is the last 17 years average temp higher than the 17 years prior to it?

"So, yes, climate scientists might exaggerate, but in today’s world, this is the only way to assure any political action.."

You have no evidence that the climate scientists in question have exaggerated anything.

You have no evidence that the climate scientists in question put out any info to get political action.

CNSNews****) –  Global temperatures collected in five official databases confirm that there has been no statistically significant global warming for the past 17 years, according to Dr. John Christy, professor of atmospheric science and director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH)

The figures reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012 there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures This means that the ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996

Thanks for quoting NOAA it gives me another chance to post this............The problem is, only sensational exaggeration makes the kind of story that will get politicians’ — and readers’ — attention. So, yes, climate scientists might exaggerate, but in today’s world, this is the only way to assure any political action and thus more federal financing to reduce the scientific uncertainty.

As for understanding what causes global warming, you again are showing your ignorance about your fellow commentators on here. Many things attribute to global climate change. History shows that polar ice, oceanic flow and temp and particulate content all contribute to global climate change.

Do you have any non-political reasons (meaning scientific) that makes you doubt these factors, among others, don't effect global climate change?
