Thankfully, the anti-science propaganda campaign surrounding man-made climate change seems to have lost some of its effect.

Are you seeing storm clouds on the horizon? Two recent studies suggest that the latest anti-science campaign is following its forerunners--the propaganda campaigns attempting to refute science that tobacco causes cancer, that CFC's caused the hole in the ozone layer, and so on—into oblivion. Global warming denial seems to have climbed to a peak in 2010, and global warming acceptance is now climbing. This bodes well for rational public policy.

While the propaganda campaign against the work of climate scientists has stalled government action on global warming, others are stepping up. I recently saw new housing tracts in California being built with “pre-installed solar.”

Some have complained, “the sun doesn’t always shine.” Well, engineers are solving that problem in several ways. Here’s one:

In Nevada, railcars full of rock have been equipped with motor/generators. Acting as motors, these units propel the cars up a 4-mile-long hill, where they sit until the power is needed. As the cars coast back down, they generate electricity.

The counter climate change movement, paralyzed by their fear of government, tries to stop progress on global warming. Others, however, are exploiting opportunity and devising solutions to the global warming problem.

Roy W. Spencer received his Ph.D. in meteorology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1981. Before becoming a Principal Research Scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2001, he was a Senior Scientist for Climate Studies at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, where he and Dr. John Christy received NASA’s Exceptional Scientific Achievement Medal for their global temperature monitoring work with satellites

Its so very funny when these idiot deniers cant see the correlation between the two ! I think if you go to the library there is probably a picture book that is about your level ! LOLOL!!!

More records for cold being broken everyday ! And now new records for snowfall on top of that ! Deny , deflect and cry all you want but the vast majority say somethings amiss !

Reports that 2014 was the “hottest” year on record feed the insatiable appetite the public has for definitive, alarming headlines. It doesn’t matter that even in the thermometer record, 2014 wasn’t the warmest within the margin of error. Who wants to bother with “margin of error”? Journalists went into journalism so they wouldn’t have to deal with such technical mumbo-jumbo. I said this six weeks ago, as did others, but no one cares unless a mainstream news source stumbles upon it and is objective enough to report it.

Oh if weather isn't climate why are we pointing out record cold days?

I see stillhere still confuses climate and weather. I would have thought he would figure out the difference by now.

Climate scientist James Church estimated that the earth absorbs the energy of four Hiroshima atomic bombs each second.

The oceans are absorbing 90% of that extra heat.

Maybe that’s not such a bad thing. Suppose we could engineer a way to USE that energy instead of waiting for it to disrupt the climate. If we set our minds to finding solutions, we might find that global warming could be a good thing.

If we refuse to deal with global warming, it will harm us. But if we deal with it, we might find a way for global warming to help us. After all, heat is energy, and we need energy.

Like Rex Tillerson, the CEO of Exxon-Mobile, said, It's “an engineering problem with an engineering solution.”
