NAZI LIKE LEGISLATION PASSES THE SENATE

Yesterday, Senator Manchin voted ""FOR"" passage of this bill in the Senate #1867. It was not a highly publicized bill. But the ALARMING fact remains: ""HE VOTED FOR IT"" In a brief summery : This bill would give the US MILITARY the POWER to arrest you {AMERICAN CITIZENS} without warrant, probable cause, hearing, or formal charges and to detain you {FOREVER} without trial or ANY LEGAL due process, if you are MERELY {ACCUSED} of being a TRAITOR OR TREASONOUS to the UNITED STATES. THIS LEGISLATION was PASSED. But the alarming fact, is that it was even offered up for a vote in our SENATE should be enough to scare the stuffings out of you. THE PRESIDENT HAS THREATENED TO VETO THIS LEGISLATION. BUT JOE MANCHIN VOTED FOR PASSAGE.

But, it’s not just states. More than ten local communities are on board too. For example, up north in Fairfax, CA, they passed legislation which says that they will:

“Instruct all our Town of Fairfax agencies to decline requests by federal agencies acting under detention powers granted by the NDAA that could infringe upon residents’ freedom of speech, religion, assembly, privacy, or rights to counsel.”

Like the Fugitive Slave Acts and Japanese mass internment, the federal government has again taken new powers never intended under the Constitution. Under sections 1021 and 1022 of the NDAA, the feds again claim the power to classify people in such a way that they no longer have rights.

Virginia recently became the first state in the country to pass a law refusing compliance with or assistance to federal agents carrying out detentions without due process against citizens of that state. Arizona’s legislature just passed a similar bill. And a number of other states are working on the same.

"Watch Out for Drones, A.C.L.U. Warns" By SOMINI SENGUPTA | December 15, 2011, 3:01 pm

"The American Civil Liberties Union on Thursday warned of the prospect of “routine aerial surveillance of American life” and called for new regulations to govern the use of unmanned aerial systems, or drones, over American skies."

"“Will we be able to walk out of our front door without wondering at all times whether some eye in the sky might be watching every move we make?” Jay Stanley, the author of the report, asks in a blog post on the organization’s Web site."

AGAIN - YOU GO, ACLU !!!!

What's next UNDER THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, city-block sized microwave ovens to dispose of bodies since their quicker than natural gas fired ones?

(cont) "We appreciate that the sponsors passed on giving the president a ‘kill switch’ and have included some restrictions on information sharing to protect privacy," Richardson explained. "We still have fundamental concerns, however, that the bill reserves a role for the military to collect information about domestic and civilian Internet use, among other things. We look forward to working with the sponsors to amend the bill to make it even better for civil liberties."

"ACLU corrects Napolitano, says it does not support cybersecurity bill"

By Brendan Sasso - 02/18/12 07:01 AM ET

"The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) corrected Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano after she claimed the group supports a cybersecurity bill."

"As the ACLU itself acknowledged, this bill really has done a very, very good job of incorporating those protections right from the get-go," Napolitano told the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee on Thursday. "The bill really addresses the privacy concerns."

The ACLU said Napolitano’s statement was off the mark.

"The ACLU has not endorsed The Cybersecurity Act of 2012," Michelle Richardson, a legislative counsel for the ACLU, wrote to The Hill in an email."

The Homeland Security Department did not return a request to comment.

"We appreciate that the sponsors passed on giving the president a ‘kill switch’ and have included some restrict

The Tennessee legislature will consider HB1629 and SB2669 in the 2012 session. The legislation would effectively nullify the detention provisions in the NDAA and would also require federal agents making an arrest in the Volunteer State for any reason to first obtain written permission from the county sheriff.

This bill declares that any federal law purporting to require local or state law enforcement agencies to act at the direction of the federal government or the United States military is beyond the authority granted to the federal government pursuant to the United States Constitution, is not recognized by this state, is specifically rejected by this state and is declared to be invalid in this state. This bill further declares that any federal law purporting to give federal agents or employees, including any members of the United States military, the authority of any state or local law enforcement agency of this state, without the express permission of this state, is beyond the au

If you haven't seen it, check out the "Homeland Security" story (this newspaper, 1/31/12, Local News).

I play golf (locally) with Al Cada and I bet I shouted his name a little too loud and too often across the course.

Yeah...I wasnt directing that specifically towards your comments...I agree.

sling - I may be misunderstanding you. I am not disagreeing with "Thats". I AM implying that an enhancement of what he stated may better reflect what the 'upper' government intends.

THAT government may have little intention of respecting 'state's rights', if it got the right (WRONG) mix of justices to say they were within their bounds to do so. Such precedence could have it's seed planted in a presidency that walks around congress, unchallenged, to get what it wants and THEN goes on (in a 2nd term) to appoint TWO MORE justices to the SCOTUS.

this topic was looking like something we all could agree on...of course...it unraveled quickly...even in the agreeable topics we search until we find something to disagree about....it is just more fun that way instead of all of us on here agreeing with each other.

Thats - Have you considered that MAYBE "an agency or the armed forces of the United States" that would conduct such an action, isn't all that interested or worried about Virginia's attitude toward it?

Posted 112 days ago.

Introduced in the Virginia House of Delegates is House Bill 1160 (HB1160) which “Prevents any agency, political subdivision, employee, or member of the military of Virginia from assisting an agency or the armed forces of the United States in the investigation, prosecution, or detainment of a United States citizen in violation of the Constitution of Virginia.

I don't think Absurd-boy's post has anything to do with SB 1867 or the Udall amendment. Maybe if we could give Absurd-boy some colored-chalk to play with he would be otherwise occupied and wouldn't be inserting irrelevant nonsense into various threads here. But alas, we can't do that.

A 13-year-old was handcuffed and hauled off to a juvenile detention for burping in class, according to a lawsuit filed against an Albuquerque school principal, a teacher and school police officer.

The boy was transported without his parents being notified in May after he "burped audibly" in PE class and his teacher called a school resource officer to complain he was disrupting her class. The lawsuit also details a separate Nov. 8 incident when the same student was forced to strip down to his underwear while five adults watched as he was accused of selling pot to another student; the boy was never charged.

Dick I believe our WEST VIRGINIA turncoat treasonous Democrat Senator MANCHIN also sided with the REPUBLICIAN ZEALOTS and voted against the UDALL amendment. I am also very upset with OBAMA for backing off his promice to VETO this legislation.

Sure sounds like an OBAMA plot to me, right KunectPoo?????

You are so full of it it probably drips from your ears...

Sorry, my bad, I should have said this:

"EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THE SUPPORTERS OF THE UDALL Amendment were DEMOCRATS except TWO:

Rand Paul of Kentucky (Republican), and

Bernie Sanders of Vermont (Independent)

Please accept my humble apologies for this error!
